I suppose we'll be getting the profiles soon, but can somebody confirm the climbs in the Pau-Luchon stage?

Tourmalet, Hourquette d'Ancizan, Val Louron-Azet & Peyresourde.

WTF? No Aubisque? Not even Soulor?

It's the most used climb in the Tour, let's not always use it.

Gonna be honest and say I miss the Marie Blanque/Aubisque combo into Hautacam or Luz.

How many stages are there for the pure sprinters. Most of the of the "flat ones" look kinda hilly.

If that's the case, Kittel will not win anything. Cav and Griepel could get into trouble too.

Stages 1, 3, 11, 14 and 21.
Maybe 4, 6 and 16 too.

Actually, I think the problem may be the exact opposite. Utah Beach, Angers, Limoges, Montauban, Montpellier, Villars-les-Dombes and Bern all seem like flat stages with very little interest.

I prefer something new. Bisanne is a step in the right direction. Let's hope for Puy de Dôme, Mont du Chat, Granon...heck, let's go crazy and hope for Lac Cap de Long one day...

Also we're overlooking the interesting Lioran stage with Pas de Peyrol and Perthus. Almost looks like an Alps profile hehe.

what are they doing exactly on the Culoz stage?
Here I thought I could actually see a proper Grand Colombier descent finish...

Is the first TT flat or hilly? And how steep is the MTT does anyone know?

First one looks flat to me.

MTT is a couple flat kms, then 2.5 kms at around 10% before falste flat and real flat to the final km which is downhill

They climb from Lochieu, descend into Anglefort, then 9 flat kms to Culoz, and a final circuit with half of the Culoz side of the Grand Colombier.

So, yes, they basically managed to come up with a poor stage design with a descent finish in Culoz after the GC, which is a pretty remarkable achievement.

Anyway i don't see big differences with Cividale stage. Both have few flat kms, Culoz a bit longer (2-3kms  )

the big difference is that near Cividale there are no HCs.

Some people don't like the profile because instead of attacking only on the last climb, riders could try something on the first ascent of Grand Colombier.

But it's poor design.
