Froome probably could have lost minutes if this stage had been raced properly. But no let's wait for the last 500m instead. If froome ends up winning the tour by a few seconds it would be hilarious
Easy to say, much harder to do.
Not only that. The pace by Sky was very high, so it wasn't an easy task. And you are also risking to go backwards after the attack.

After today they could be more fearless. But even that if he has a strong team it would be a very difficult task to do.

4 southern hemisphere riders in top 10

2: neither of the Colombians is from the southern parts of the country.
Nice catch. I don't think even 0.1% of Colombians are from south of the Equator.

Why would it matter which hemisphere someone is from?

Great stage and finish today, to anyone finding this boring, I dont think you know cycling from 1st hand experience. Froome and Sky did an amazing job, Froome will probably still win imo. But I'm rooting for Bardet!

Quintana's decision to ride the Giro looks even worse now somehow

That is far too big hindisght to even consider, decision was made last year like.

And who expected Dumoulin to become new Indurain

I really hope Landa goes rogue, why the f would Portal ream out on him like that in front of the cameras? It would've achieved nothing if Landa would've waited Froome...
Absolute joke. If Landa would have been given the green light to attack himself, he'd probably have taken some bonus seconds away from serious rivals and may have even won the stage.

I wonder if the team are a bit scared that Landa's numbers are significantly better than Froome's at the moment. And that Froome is maybe a bit insecure.

Lol they signed a guy who didnt gave two cents about his former captain and now they criticise Landa for being Landa.

Straight outta his playbook now would be another epic attack without thinking twice about Froome. I believe in you Mikel and your abilities to rattle the cage.

On Mont Du Chat, Froome looked the strongest in the race while Landa looked like a corpse

Quite a few riders going up and down. Meintjes lost significant time on Sunday yet was 5th today taking time out of Yates

Uran and Bennett penalised 20 seconds for some reason

What a sensible and competent jury this is. **** them.

I think it's a stupid rule they should get rid of but now I do remember Froome had a 20s penalty for food in 2013 so it's been done before.
