14 seconds, I think. Which is not noting. He reduced his time gap the yellow by 14,6% and jumped one place into fifth overall. In a tight race like this, it could be valuable.

14 seconds doesn't sound like much, but its going to matter if he gets near the top of GC going into the ITT. Those seconds now could pay dividends later

I think he's saying at the Giro and Vuelta random riders win breaks in their national grand tour because its important for those riders.

This is after 180 km's, I guess he's not top 10 after that distance

What race did you watch. I was watching one where, after being gifted the perfect race situation to win the Tour, Bardet chose to hide behind his domestiques, who weren't even going full gas, rather than take this opportunity to actually race to win.

I appreciated his riding on the stage to Chambery where he rode awesomely. But where did he attack this week except for 2 or 3 tries that lasted about 5 seconds?
Also Bardet is not the only one who gave up trying. Aru also gave up already on stage 12. Uran never even tried winning the Tour and the others don't have the form to win.

It was actually the best profile to attack if there was a group together and 1-2 guys pursuing.

And that thing was a combination of narrow roads, hills, downhill. It was perfect for attackers if you ask me.

Congratulations to Froome on his fourth Tour de France.

He/She was referring to Pro Continental riders (Italian in Giro, Spanish in Vuelta).

Also, the thing I hate most in cycling is riders sprinting for minor positions. Seriously what was the point in Ulissi sprinting for second, or Roche or Froome.

Vincent Lavenu has to take some of the blame as he is the guy shouting in Bardet's ear.

But yes a missed opportunity today by Bardet, Uran, Martin and Yates to take time out of Froome.

Surely they know this, right? I'd say they just don't have it in them to ride faster and drop Froome. Froome has a stranglehold on this race at this point.

Aru must still be dogged by that attack when Froome held his hand up for a mechanical. Now he seems afraid to go on the offensive. Froome's rivals missed a good opportunity today.

What is this? Why are people getting offended over something innocent?

I don't really agree with him, because I always like a good breakaway stage even if the names are not as big as the ones in the TdF, but all he is saying that at the TdF the big names in cycling fight for the stage while at the Vuelta and Giro lesser known riders (a lot of spanish in vuelta and italians in giro) are in the breakaway fighting for stage wins.

Apparently he only likes it when big names win a stage.
