I think the other guys in the Contador group should help a bit. This group is not gonna survive if Pantano and Mollema are the only ones working.

Just what I was thinking. And why don't others help? Don't they also want a chance to win the stage?

If you celebrated Zubeldia's ninja TdF top 10s you can't criticise Meintjes for chasing one. A TdF top 10 is a big deal to riders, teams, and sponsors, so teams will try to hang on to one if they can.

I like to see some sponsor exposure stats on that claim. If you ask Jonathan Vaughters results doesn't mean a thing, really.

But anyway scrap the top 10 WT points and the team classification and all that.

This is so pathetic. Do you have any idea how ridiculous it is to defend a damn 8th(!) place. Not 2nd. Not 3rd. 8th. As if anyone will remember who finished 8th. I don't even recall who finished 4th last year.

Adam Yates did.
So just because you don't want them to defend it they should just give up? If you don't like it then petition the UCI to change the points system then maybe riders and teams will change the way they look at the lower parts of the top 10. Even Trek came out the other day and said they'd like Contador to finish inside the top 10 for the points it would bring.
Again, UAE have Aru under contract next year. He'll bring more points than Meintjes would in a life time.

Yes, because everyone that thinks Meintjes riding for 8th is pathetic is a Contador fan... (I am a Contador fan but hrotha and Valv.Piti aren't for example)

It's going to be a big chunk of ascent left to Contador to swallow it by himself for the stage victory.

Things didn't go to plan, but Pantano and Mollema are great teammates for Contador at this tour

For example De Gendt. He has another teammate in the break and his aim should be that the break survives. Instead he rides with the break in the flat section and as soon as the road goes up he drops.

It doesn't matter, they would till want the points a Tour top 10 brings with Meintjes. I love how people keeping bagging Meintjes for doing exactly what his employer wants him to do, cycling is a job afterall. Are you guys all unemployed because you ignore what the person who pays your wage wants you to do?
