Don't think Sky 2012 and JV 2020 are the worst trains in recent history, rather that in both years the other teams are/were really weak. Pogacar essentially has no team and Ineos have f*cked up their preparation spectacularly, crashes have obviously also helped neither team.Gesink's stringing them out so much Ledanois is still there after dropping back from the break. The JV train at the moment is about as interesting as the original and still the worst Sky train in 2012. At least Froome would unleash and destroy the opposition every now and then.
We still have lots of riders within 2 minutes. Also this is the best day so far for JV.Don't think Sky 2012 and JV 2020 are the worst trains in recent history, rather that in both years the other teams are/were really weak. Damian Caruso has had a solid Tour so far. Always around for Landa and quietly in the Top 20.
Imagine if they had Groenewegen leading the peloton up cat 1s like Cav did. That would really cap it off. This is actually an even greater display of collective climbing strength then I can recall from 2012 Sky. They had Wiggins, Froome, Rogers and Porte; those 4 were still there with only a dozen or so riders left. But their 5th and 6th best climbers weren't as strong as Jumbo 2020.
2001-2002?Hincape, Ekimov, Rubiera, Hamilton, Heras, Lance is STILL peak train, edging out 2012 sky. The later vintage with Landis included was also good.

LOL I’m pretty sure they had Cavendish and EVBH in 20122012 Sky didn't have 6 riders to the last high mountain. They also didn't have a domestique going for the occasional sprint and then leading the peleton up the last mountain.

Definitely not the strongest overall, but still incredibly boring. At least JV aren't dropping everyone to the point that Sky did when the only interest factor was whether Froome would try to drop Wiggo or not.Don't think Sky 2012 and JV 2020 are the worst trains in recent history, rather that in both years the other teams are/were really weak. But then again that wasn't because they couldn't but because they brought a sprint train for Cav with Knees/EBH/Eisel. And EBH even wasn't that far off from what WvA does (of course not finishing it off in a similar way). This is actually an even greater display of collective climbing strength then I can recall from 2012 Sky.
