Unlike the years when Sky bossed the peloton and sent Froome rocketing up the road, this year's TDF is nowhere near over at the end of week 2 (okay, it's a two-horse race). Pogacar actually may be a bit stronger than Roglic right now. If the gap is closer when the TT stage comes up, anything can happen. Pogi is a good time-trialer, and his form looks to be on the rise relative to everyone else.

If he hadn't lost that time in the wind, he wouldn't have attacked the day after either. And even if he did, Roglic wouldn't have let him.

His performance on Peyresourde was great, among the best in TdF history - VAM of 1850 m/h. I don't think anyone could've matched it. Still even without that attack he would be on par with Roglic now.

Wouldnt count Porte or Uran out in a third week when they are in a good position right now. Mal quietly following along too.

Anyone can run out of gas. Even though Pog and Roglic looks the strongest.

Just wondering why since it was quite obvious that Rogla would be a big contender the next coming years. Id just assume you would want to be the leader on the team in these races
He wanted to share leadership. He's been pretty vocal about it. And Jumbo were doing super well and they were the most obvious candidate for a team to buy out his contract

There was a big question mark for Roglic since his crash. And it's still is, his sprint in L'Ain was much better than today.

He didnt like that to have all that pressure on him alone at Sunweb, in the end.

There are plenty of races to go to as a leader still. Both to a GT or part of a collective where the strongest sorts itself out.
