I will laugh and laugh if DQS decide to race the first hour at some absurd pace to hold it together for the intermediate
That's probably exactly what will happen, for 2 reasons. 1, keep it together for Bennett and 2, the faster those first 57km are raced, the more tired the climbers will be when they get to the slopes, so the more cushion they'll have for the time limit.

Well for me the best part of this Tour so far has been the fight for stage wins ( as I predicted )

GC has been a yawn fest

Roglic is like some machine that no one even with their best ever numbers can get near
But still after 14 days of racing he only has a barely 2 minute advantage over 9th place. He can ask Dumoulin how secure of a lead that is starting the last week of a grand tour.

Little Richie looked very good on the climb, when they rode it in l'Ain. I hope he can overtake some of the colombians in front of him in GC, but realistically he is only going to pass Adam "I'm not going for GC" Yates.

1. Roglic isn't even breathing hard ffs

2. Dumoulin example means nothing here as Dumoulin had no team and Roglic has the best team ever assembled by man or beast ...just WVA alone and the panzer wagon if let lose would chew a few Colombians between them

3. Dumoulin had at that time just discovered he was GC rider and wasnt prepared .Roglic has obviously been riding backward up ski slopes in the the deepest parts of Slovenia and he is already a GT winner

4.Roglic doesnt need to be hour ahead if he is in total control which he definitely is ...who want to look too good ??? ...wining is enough

I hope I am wrong and Quintana,Landa or LRP take off tomorrow and show us wings but TJV have this I think

Yes, having 4 opponents within 1:12 on GC is very tight for a TdF entering it’s 3rd week. I don’t expect it, but an off day in one of the mountain stages could put Roglic under pressure. Fortunately for him, he has the ITT As his hole card.

Oh, come on, of course he is breathing hard.... If he could have shed Pogacar yesterday, he would have.

Two things are certain for tomorrow Cosnefroy will try to go in a break and Rolland will be a part of one. B&B Hotels only hope to get something in this Tour is the polka dot jersey. So Rolland has to go all out tomorrow for at least the first 2 1st cat climbs and 20 points.

Nah... Cosnefroy will not go into the break, not even try, but end up with the jersey on his shoulders anyway. Lol. I love him, but he's just not in great form... and not really a mountain guy... this story is so :tearsofjoy:
Maybe Cherel will get into the break...

Also profile for the two climbs before the Colombier (minus the descent)
If someone will do a Giro Froome they could attack on on the second climb already.

U leave out the important part. The distance btwn second and lasts climbs. Too great unless Rog can be isolated on second climb. Not going to happen.

Sagan looks like the clear favorite for green now. Will snatch some points on stages 16 and 18 and then blow Bennett away on stage 19. Even a win in Paris probably won't be enough for Bennett.

Sepp Kuss's birthday is tomorrow. Sadly I can't see him winning like it happened in vuelta, too much battle for GC :(
Well, the stage finishes on a steep mountain, so at least he might try to ride.

On the plus side, I can't see him winning like in the Vuelta either.

They used to say this about Big Mig. Some riders are simply good poker face. At least this is what I hope :)
Unfortunately I feel Roglic will seal the race here, but I hope to see Pogacar sneak a bit closer on GC instead.
Oh come on we need to hope! There is still stage 17 and 2,000+ metres.
