Many single guys or couples. Couples should ride, single guys probably not going to ride. So the peloton can still come back if some random DS gives his team a punishment for not having a rider in the break.

Is the break really going to bring Sam Bennet to the line? Must be Christmas fro Quickstep.
Sagan surely has a better probability of winning from the break against Bennett than from another bunch sprint. Same is probably true forTrentin, Mezgec or Stuyven. So why wouldn't they ride?Is the break really going to bring Sam Bennet to the line? Must be Christmas fro Quickstep.
But if Bennett wins today it's overTechnically 70 points (20 intermediate, 50 stage) available on Sunday, so not yet.
Yeah it was a 6.15 or something by Nibali. And Ewan, being as short as he is, should benefit the most from headwinds there.Wasn't that MSR into a headwind up the Poggio?
In fairness, Bennett has never survived the Poggio in MSR. But also, endurance after 6.5 hours in the saddle is different to endurance after 3 weeks in the saddle.
Looks like it, actually.Frison actually slowing the peloton down?
And who is right now?))Big brain strategy. But they said on French TV that last 35 kms are easier and shouldn't be a problem for sprinters. So I don't think those breakaway can work.
