This one will be for PouPou, it means too much to Van der Poel to get it wrong.

My tip is for Allaphilippe and Van Aert to push him, with Sagan, Colbrelli and Matthews best of the rest while Carapaz and the Slovenians hold their own well.

Yes, the struggle for position will be just as important as the final climb itself. The first stage of the Tour is always extremely nervous and dangerous for crashes.

I wonder how Alpecin will fare among those bigger budget teams. MvdP can win if he reaches the foot in a good position. Van Aert can win if Jumbo works for him today.

Yep, going to be nasty weather, i.e. typical Bretagne summer...I really hope no one crashes out today but I'm pretty sure someone will, or lose huge chunks of time.

Wow, that is some beast of a finish climb... I hadn't imagined it like that... I am inclined to switch my favourite for the day, this looks more like van Aert than van der Poel.
