Thanks!
they can watch him. But if he has TdSuisse or Strade form all they watch is him taking off and then what?Vanderpoel will be watched by everyone. Aranburu won't necessarily!
Some guys is a very polite way to say Geraint Thomas!Van der Poel will win this, unless he gets his positioning totally wrong or has a really bad day.
But the stage should still create some drama, with at least Roglic and Pogacar involved in the very final and some guys to crash out for sure. Van Aert may surprise if he's in better form than expected. In perfect form he can match van der Poel here.
It's going to be ideal for an extremely good bike handler. Kind of good for a daredevil.
Yes, the struggle for position will be just as important as the final climb itself. The first stage of the Tour is always extremely nervous and dangerous for crashes.Michael Rasmussen reporting for a Danish newspaper, says the climb to the finish is "relatively flat", but the big battle is on the small, twisty roads leading up to it (last 5K), after a technical descent from the last categorised climb.
He predicts complete chaos, with lots of crashes and no single team being able to control the finale, meaning it becomes every man for himself.
Good times ahead
15 degrees with rain, stage 3 TA repeat incoming. Think he'll at least wear gloves this time?
Lutsenko FTW He's going well.
Does the 3km rule apply on this stage?
...or maybe not. the updated forecast is now showing some rain in Landerneau as well. The rain is forecasted during the stage, in the middle part of the route - as they will be heading south. But at the finish in Landerneau it should be dry for the whole day.
