What is Pid? I know what *** is (a male chicken, or is it called rooster) but not sure what a pid is.

Wiki says - "The ancient Anglo-Saxon surname Pidcock came from Paeda the first Christian King of Mercia. The surname Pidcock referred to the son of Paeda which belongs to the category of patronymic surnames."

"Hancock is an English surname. It is derived from a given name, a short form of the name Johan combined with the hypocoristic suffix -cok which came into fashion in the 13th century, from cok "c0ck", applied to "a young lad who strutted proudly like a c0ck"."

So I'd guess "Pid" is a corruption or "Peter" or something like that.

Got 10 times worse since is hard crash earlier this year tho.
It got really worse after a few crashes earlier in his career (especially the one in 2019 I think). Ever since then he's been hands down the worst descender in the peloton.

So it was Froome why Pogacar lost the jersey yesterday. He knew something.

"Chris Froome confidently revealed that he'd told his Israel-Premier Tech teammates on Wednesday morning that the Slovenian, winner of the past two Tours, would not be in yellow by the end of the day. "

He also predicted that no one would take the jersey from Pogačar three days ago!

I don't know how anyone with a pulse could watch Froome, after 3 years of suffering and mockery, hang onto a total madman on that descent and bridge to the attack without feeling a bit of respect. It's not his fault the team is overpaying for him. They presumably did medical and physical evaluations. It's hard to argue he hasn't give it 100% to get back. Great to see, even though I expect him to finish 30 minutes off the lead at the end of the day.

This breakaway is depressing for French viewers.

It's July 14th & Anthony Perez is their only hope. It's not what they expected this morning. Oh & people will probably soon start to hate Jumbo again when they crush Alpe with a sky train.

When he retires, if that's possible in the next decade, Froome will turn into the best pundit cycling has ever seen of heard. He'll burst onto the scene so fast and unpredictable similar with his outstanding and bizzare pro career.

A lot of teams will not be satisfied with this break. Great chance to win a stage if Jumbo does not increase the pace before AdH, but many teams didn't make the cut.
