Vlasov is going for „coup double“, as the French say, here. He wants to be in Yellow this evening, and win the stage. I hope Großschartner is in good form today, Vlasov will need him… :)

You just jinxed him!

Europe isn't Australia, I've stayed in many places without AC, and also, accomodation is always a problem in the Tour - in France, in july, in sometimes fairly small towns.

If you're DS and you have a choice between a hotel right outside the starting town without AC and another one 80kms away with AC, what do you choose?

Do teams even get a choice? Isn't it just "This is your hotel for the night. Deal with it!"

Really? What's stopping a team from making their own itinerary as soon as the route is known?

I just know that riders have been complaining about the hotels forever, probably in Coppi's time already.

There's not much Jumbo can do with such few riders, if there are echelons, the riders from the break can always drop back and it's actually benefitial because that ensures they will be with Vingegaard and not behind him if something goes wrong.

But that requires that the break is not too far away. If there are echelons and they have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes before they even reach Vingegaard, it could be way too late.

Organisers not wanting to richer teams to take all the good hotels, inceasing their posibility for recovery. Pretty sure I've heard that ASO makes sure no one team gets all the good hotels.
Do Prudhomme and the organisers have to go through the same rotation? Or do they end up hogging the best rooms?

It's also France. Aircon in general is ridiculously weak in places there. Might as well have someone with a handfan just standing next to you, it's so bad.

I would honestly have done the same: unless WvA is working most in the group (which he isn't), AND the 3-points-difference ending 1st or 2nd are not that relevant for WvA anyone has every right to take that sprint and receive 1500 euro. That's for most people on this planet far more than a month's salary, and for many people in W-Europe a big chunk of a month's salary.

WvA has earned enough prize money this tour...

Interview with Benoot on Sporza coverage. Seems the plan of Jumbo is: Wout will do it all…

He is one heck of a rider but seriously everyone has limits.

Ok doing the intermediate sprint and the break but is it not waisting too much energy?

TJV playing some serious Russian roulette here. Vlasov a virtual top-5 now… And if it’s still Benoot and Laporte are still doing all the work in the peloton I’m sure Vlasov will go even higher once the serious climbing starts
