Hopefully injury won't be involved. Then a scenario when Jonas goes, Pogi follows and Rogla gets a perfect leadout is possible.

INEOS have 4 in the top ten so far. It looks like they're watching UAE and JV knock ten bells out of each other before striking in the next week or 2. I would like to see Martinez grind his way back. Be interesting who they have left there after today.

More likely that after the Alps they have fewer than 4 in the top ten.

Guillaume Martin, Lutsenko and Teuns could ride into the yellow jersey.

Pinot & Mollema are strong candidates for the stage win.

Usually suspects like Cosnefroy, Bonnamour and Rolland certainly gonna try to make the breakaway.

If UAE lets a big group go, rather than going for the stage with Pogacar.

Pogacar has said that he wants to win again on this climb.

Pretty sure he gets the job done and finishes right after Pog.

No one beats Pog.

Moho almost did on a murito. Anyway. If injury won't get in the way then it will be in between Rogla and Pogi today. Jonas likely going first. If injury is too severe then i agree Rogla will likely go early. And the rest will need to go mano-a-mano up the hill.

I'll go with Pinot for the win today. The GC selection should become a bit clearer after today although I don't think we will see any major time gaps since the parcours doesn't really lend itself to a sustained long range attack. There is a certain amount of spectator fatigue involved with finishing on this climb yet again but it should be interesting nonetheless.

Pogačar wins today by 30s+. His whole family and girlfriend will be waiting for him on the top. He'll go nuclear. Rog is too injured and won't be able to follow. Jonas will crack too. Yates will look good but also crack.

I agree that today it doesn't look all that good for a breakaway to make it. But you never know. Cycling is unpredictable sport.

I suspect there will be more than five people on the PdBF, who'd be happy with that outcome.

Fools believing that there is good in this world, picking Pinot to win on his home climb. Dreamers.

What's next? Roglic to win the Tour? :p

In reality Pogacar will probably allow his lead out man Bettiol to take the stage win.

This one has Pogacar written all over it with all his family there , too many other riders close enough that other time will be on patrolling duties as well such as Bora have already done and not enough early climbing for the good non-gc climbers like Storer, Pinot, Woods, Latour etc to infiltrate the break of the day without wearing themselves down making the gap on the flat.

O'|Connor is now 7 minutes down so should have some freedom to either go for the break or attack on the lower slopes of the final climb for the stage win.
