Pretty remarkable fail of Geschke not to stay with Jungels after the KOM. Even if he thought it was suicide, it would help Izagirre behind.

Yes wondered what happened there. If you have something to do with cycling in the last years you should know that those are the kind of moves that win in the TdF.

Talking about stupid team tactics, this actually is stupid by Francaise des Jeux.

They need to make tempo now, to isolate Pogacar, let Gaudu attack and use Pinot as an relais-station like Jean-Claude Leclercq always says.

Or to say it in Leclercq's words: Francaise des Jeux has marched up their deployment only to not take advantage of it.

Martinez weak the whole Tour already. With that now being the peak. He had a pretty hassle free prep, right? Wonder what went wrong.

It doesnt need much of a up in pace for riders to start dropping.

Last day before the rest day and it has been a tough day. Brutal start.

Looks like it is pretty hot out there too.

Dani Martinez had a very weird form curve this year. Looked potentially to be the best Ineos climber this year after Bernals crash than dropped off a lot for some reason. I thought in Suisse he was just building his form like Ineos often do but now he looks completely done.

He already looked much worse in Suisse then he looked in March-April. I guess he didn’t manage to find the same shape after his break.

Then again, he did crash a couple of days back in stage 4 I think. So who knows that took a bit out of him.

It would be ironic if so many riders get kicked out after positive COVID tests that Jungels, who started the race while COVID positive, ends up winning The Tour.
