Pushing a rider should obvioulsy be banned in all situations. It`s absolutely pointless.Do you also want to ban it when a rider has had a mechanical during a TT? If not, how do you prove whether someone had a mechanical or not?

I think the mechanic's push assist should not be allowed when switching the bike during the TT... change my mind!
It's always been that way, AFAIK.Inceed, absolute joke. But what do you expect in the year 2023?
So that a mechanical becomes even more impactful in the discipline where every second counts? How long do you think it would take for someone to lose a GC victory because of a mechanical under those rules?yes... ban push during the TT no matter the cause. easy to control that way
Bike changes in TT were A LOT more uncommon back in the day. It's always been that way.
Congratulations on winning the Giro d‘Italia, Geraint Thomas. It‘s sad that Primoz Roglic had to push his bike until he could remount in a flatter section, but those are the rules.yes... ban push during the TT no matter the cause. easy to control that way
why not... there are plenty of TT specific rulesI don't really get why the rule should be different in a TT than a RR?
*** happens... still same rules for everyone.Congratulations on winning the Giro d‘Italia, Geraint Thomas. It‘s sad that Primoz Roglic had to push his bike until he could remount in a flatter section, but those are the rules.

no problem with a bike change, just with those pushes. change your bike how many times you want just without the stupid pushes from mechanic. that's allEveryone has the same choices and trade offs regarding a bike change and it gives us something to talk about. What's the problem?
There‘s no rule against mutilating spectators (and the rider who would also be injured)?I think the next area for marginal gains will an automatic release for the bikes on the car. Riders has a mechanical and the driver will just release the bike which will roll right over the hood in the hands of the rider. The car grill will open up and we see an aircraft turbine immediately accelerating the rider to 80mph, spectators will lose their hats and maybe some of their body parts. Just a thought, i did not find a rule against these car adaptions.
True, that would be the best solution. Either alllow road bikes or TT bikes. In other words, the ban could be just not allowing different kind of bikes.
perhaps UAE have recruited Usain Bolt as a mechanic for the team #marginalgainsandbigbudgetsno problem with a bike change, just with those pushes. change your bike how many times you want just without the stupid pushes from mechanic. that's all
Even with the push, riders lose a few seconds in the exchange. There's a little penalty.no problem with a bike change, just with those pushes. change your bike how many times you want just without the stupid pushes from mechanic. that's all
