Smart of Pedersen going as deep as he did yesterday? Surely his team knew that UAE would drive hard on the last climb. Or is it just a sign that they don't think he stands much of a chance in more pure sprint stages?

Just tuned in with about 75km to go and am catching up on everyone's posts, apparently the very nice Powless just got caught by the peloton. I don't think that's very nice.

McCrossan reporting more tack issues
Tacks on the road again causing punctures. Pidcock did the final descent/10K on a semi-flat tyre yesterday.

Danish commentators mentioned that they're quite close to the place where it happened yesterday. So, either someone in San Sebastian really don't like cycling. Or they didn't get the roads cleared properly yesterday.

I think Pedersen knows he will more often than not lose in a flat-ish sprint against Philipsen, Jakobsen & Groenewegen, but if he can consistently hit top 5 in the finish line sprints, and mop up all the intermediate sprints, he will be well positioned for green, and if need be he can hit breaks (incl. on lumpy stages) for intermediate sprints.

There are so many people there that it's hard to imagine no one saw someone spreading tacks on the road.
