My first full stage watch since Giro stage 4-5 (I think).
Tempo = ZzZzZ ...then me waking after sudden activity. Went for a cup of espresso.
Came back just watching break vanished and Bjerg&Asgreen chanting for a gas go.
Leave and old fart's lunch sleep, will you?

You are not obliged to watch, you can do something else in the mean time. The Tour de France is above all an endurance race. By further shortening stages (stages are already shorter than ever) you remove its core.

What we actually need is longer stages.
Lengthen the stages, then remove team radios so you could sneak away if you get into a surprising break. Then hope somebody actually tries something.

This is how you use Soudet and Marie Blanque. Tomorrow is not.
