If Vingegaard loses time to Pogačar today, they will regret not giving Van Aert the opportunity to take 10 minutes today. He must have dropped 7 kg. on this stage alone, and will therefore be as strong as Pogi from now on.
For all we know Van Aert might be winning today :smilingimp:

and remember he came into the Tour undercooked so he could peak for the Worlds
But Wout appears to have a chubbier face than usual; and: when I saw live images from him, view from behind to his back, on top of Tourmalet, I was little bit shocked: he looked blocky, chunky, plump, from behind. Soft, big calves. Broad hips and back, but not shaped too impressively. I saw him for these two seconds, and he had the built of a recreational cyclist, who is three to five kgs above his best shape.

Back view is really Wout‘s weak point, when he rides outside the saddle. MvdP looks a lot better. Best ones are Bahrain‘s Poels/Haig/Mäder (RIP)…

Van Aert is keeping a solid pace and keeps extending all alone to the Hindley group, an impressive pull from WvA.

It tells us all, that nobody in the yellow jersey group believes the two top steps on the podium are available, so they have no interest in catching The Pogacar/Vingegaard group.

They are riding their own race for 3rd, from now on an the rest of the Tour, while largely ignoring what Jumbo and UAE are playing at.
