From 20 min ago:
"So Cavendish should be relegated, too, for moving from the right barrier almost to the middle of the road when Philipsen passed him?"
I replied to that in the very post you seemed to find obfuscating

Did you notice how Philipsen didn't say the same about Girmay?

Do you know why they hate eachother so much? They both rode G-W and I never even saw them chatting there.
I don't, but clearly they do not like him contesting sprints, for sure.

Philpsen pushed Girmay
Cav deviated to slow Philipsen
Girmay shouldered Gronewegen 1.2 k from the line and almost caused a mass crash.
So Mozzato FTW.

On a more serious note, the Tour should keep an eye on the way the barriers are positioned, i've seen some bits sticking out dangerously in the sprint stages so far

Jonas: ""It has been quite an easy stage, with only one man going in the breakaway. It has been a bit long, but I’m happy with the heat. I like the heat. In last year’s stages, my best stages were the warmest ones. I am feeling better after every stage and my morale is quite high."

Not sure if you're serious, but if so... if anyone ever wonders why fake news is such a huge phenomenon, they needn't look further than this post. That is exactly the fertile ground on which it flourishes.

This generation of sprinters just isn't that great. IMO there is nobody on the level of prime Cipollini, Petacchi, Cavendish, Greipel or Kittel here when it comes to flat sprints, and that includes Philipsen himself.
How can that possibly be assessed? I might as well say that the reason Petacchi, Cipollini, Cavendish, Greipel and Kittel were that great was because they just didn't have particularly good opposition.

First time it was more than fair the Philipsen got the benefit of the doubt.

With Jakobsens crash we don’t really have good images. Allthough statements from people inside the peloton are saying something benefit of the doubt is again deserved.

Today Philipsens sprint was not fair at all. Should have been regelated. Even more so if you compare it with the relegations they have made before.

Philipsen is slowly showing to be the most dominate so far versus the others rocketing to the top. Since 2020 GT stage wins;
Philipsen 8, 5 TdF, 3 VaE
Demare 7, all GdI, 2 PC GdI
Cavendish 6, 4 TdF, 2 GdI, 1PC GdI
Bennett 5, 2 TdF, 3 VaE, 1 PC TdF
Ewan 4, 2 TdF, 2 GdI
Jakobsen 4, 1 TdF, 3 VaE, 1 PC VaE
Ackermann 3, 1 GdI, 2 VaE, 1 PC GdI
Merlier 2, 1 TdF, 1 GdI
Groenewegen 1, TdF
Gaviria 0
Viviani 0

Philipsen has the most wins of who is considered the best or the tier just below and most at TdF. While able to add to his total at the end of the race.

Cavendish still being able to match all of them bar Philipsen at 38 despite having a subpar leadout is a decent pointer...

I've literally never seen someone write GdI and VaE like this before. I was so confused.

Cavendish saying after the stage, he had a gear issues in the sprint, with his gear popping into a lighter gear when he stood up, twice.
