And hanging on to every move Tadej makes without taking a pull sends a message. Tadej thinks Jonas is using him (he is) and hopes he can embarrass him into something adventurous.
They are clearly afraid of the plan Jonas and Visma have and they need to try something to get it derailed. The only problem is that Jonas is smart and doesn't do anything unless it can benefit him. The two others are more on instinct and that is fun to watch - but a grand tour is long and you clearly need to save energy as much as possibly.
It has been fun to see all those comments about wheelsucking from alle the people at home on their chesterfields and everyone who knows about cycling says Jonas was smart and Pogi/Remco Knuckleheads (somebody even called Remco an amateur).
Remco takes the trailer park challenge route suggesting he has no balls. Jonas is in their head and his team talk of sprint wins for Wout.
None of them say anything about Roglic and most of the press don't include him in any highlight or race forecasting. He doesn't seem to protest, either so not sure what to make of it. He enjoys a lot less press in his face.
Apparantly Remco isn't satisfied with his team and wanted a couple of 2-times Tour-winners to work for him. Only one of them wanted to go down that road since it could actually benefit himself - the other where smart enougt to know, that his odds where better if he waited for his team. It seems to me, that Remco is unsure he can settle 3 place on his own and afraid of what will come in the following weeks.
Roglic going under the radar and almost no attention is dangerous for the rest. I do not think he can contest for winner, but he will probably keep himself in line for the third podium spot and doesn't Remco usually have an offday? The fun thing is that Roglic is not the only one - when we enters the high mountains there can be more batlle for 3.
@Netserk thanks for the video. That was an epic stage and I remember how it got me all exited. Hope there will be possibilities for some of the same today.
