As a side note on UAE’s stupid tactics, why on earth would you bring bonus seconds into play? Surely UAE should be wanting the breaks to go ahead and mop up bonus seconds on every stage…..this is genuinely baffling. The way they are riding today means Visma don’t actually need to do that much work to go for the stage and collect bonus seconds. It is genuinely baffling.

Trying winning stages and trying put more minutes at your worst competitor is bad strategy.

The explanation is easy. Pogacar needs to put more time on Vingegaard. 1 min 15 is not enough.
