Some good news:

"We have information that the Gendarmerie have already found and arrested the man who did this act and spent the last night in jail," Hansen wrote on social media.

"We thank the Gendarmerie for their fast great work, and this is a sign not to do this to the cyclist. Please be responsible and respect the riders."

Let's see now if Visma keeps going. I think the gap to the break will increase significantly, but not sure

Maybe with the heat it makes some sense as Pog had struggled occasionally in the heat, but if visma drive hard when Jorgenson swings off its likely he still has Pog, Almeida, Yates and Soler in his wheel. And then what?

Pog wins.

Visma are playing their cards right now. Racing hard to put fatigue into Pog's legs has been one of their signature strategies for 3 years now.

I doubt it'll work but that's all they've got.

I know on this forum Plateau de Bellie isn't the most popular of climbs, but I've actually ridden up it a few times and I must say it's a beautiful climb.

Yep

The alternative to this is to roll over and surrender.

They probably won't succeed, but it's the only chance they have.

Although I can't stand spectators like this, I think a night in jail is a bit over the top for 'throwing crisps'. Heck, Froome was having urine chucked at him back in the day!

They wanted to question him but couldn't because he was too drunk. So they let him sleep it off.
