No attacks, that was disappointing.

Vingegaard doesn't have the energy to attack this far away from the finish and to keep UAE from closing the gap (if he does even gain a gap on Pogacar) on the descent.

I am reading this forum and and see that some people were expecting an attack in La Bonette? are you serious? that is suicide in the way the GC is today. Now that sounds good for my videogame but not realistic for the race.
That’s right. Waaaay too far out with a significant climb left. Vingo would have needed 6 guys up the road to help him

When Pogi attacks that gap will melt very quickly. I think they need close to 5 mins on final climb in order to survive

I actually think that they are going to have close to 5 minutes at the bottom of the Isola climb. The break has a real shot so it seems that Visma's big plan for today was just trying to go for a stage win with Jorgenson/Kelderman

With all the Visma riders that started the break it seemed like the plan.

Yup, an attack from that far is almost impossible when there is such a strong team.
But I have to say that this stage didn't go as I expected. I thought that Visma would try again a very hard pace through the stage, but they decided for something else, maybe because that strategy didn't work at all this TdF.

No reason for Pogi to do anything today, but Remco could really attack given all the signs Visma are giving about Vingegaard's current level.
