Yeah, though the gap seems to go down real quick on the climbs. Definitely think it's down to whether a stage-hunter team like Ineos decide to push it once the climbing starts again.

Actually, it's rather ideal now, for most GC riders involved. That is if anybody wants to test Jonas, and others. Not much to lose but possibility to gain time, on some.

Ineos 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they chase when they shouldn’t (normally sets up a Pogi stage win) and don’t chase when they absolutely should (see yesterday)

No they had to be in the break. Not a single team with a brain is gonna chase such a break to just get beaten by Pogacar, or if he fails someone else.

Teams like EF, Lotto or even Bahrain just failed massively not being in that break.

Jonas couldn't have hoped for anything better, not even in his best dreams.None put him under pressure, a walk in the park in view of the Galibier where he will arrive fresh and rested with good kilometers of training in his legs

I think UAE are also riding with the podium in mind as well. I definitely think they want to finish 1-2-3 in this tour. So flogging the team in early stages kinda makes no sense. Moreover, they just don’t really have the horses for long flat sections.
