Wait are people actually mad at Jorgenson for trying to get some points? Are you also mad when Coquard takes indermediary points in front of Girmay or Philipsen?

Its a race. If Carapaz wants the points he has to ride faster than the other riders trying to take the points.

The only thing more questionable than what Jorgenson did are the people pretending... he did nothing. I mean own it. He mugged Carapaz to send a message to someone. Who? No idea. Was it personal against Carapaz? Was it to get back at Pog for what happened yesterday? Take your pick!

But in a situation like that when the bunch is happy to see one guy take the point & a rider who's got no stakes in the KOM classification mugs him... it's for a reason.

It's all good though. This sport needs more reality-checks to cure the phony social media image conveyed by the team pr agents which paints a picture of everyone being super chummy with each other in peloton. In reality it's dog eat dog out there.

Losing with grace is just as important as winning the same. Vingegaard, awkward as he is, has shown a bit of class, his team however have thrown the toys out of the pram the past couple of days, made complete fools of themselves, and this is just the bullet point.

Come on, let's not be disingenuous. Jorgenson didn't do that to get a KOM point, he did it specifically so that Carapaz didn't get one. Maybe as payback for yesterday, maybe to get back at UAE who chased him down but had let Carapaz towards the front, who knows. It was a bit of a petty move, to justify it by saying "it's a race" is deliberately missing the point.

Number of racedays before the start of the race for the last winners of Tour de France .

Covid year would require an asterisk

I dont want Pog to not win what he wants . He is very strong and has a top team and you make hay while you can and there are no gifts in cycling

But stop trying to convince me you are some happy go lucky likeable guy who cares about everyone

Nah you are a killer , with a big ego ,who hangs on to defeats, wants revenge and can be petty

Own who you are and I would have more respect for you

BTW I dont think Visma mocked Pog last year ...they said what they thought and not sure that is mockery. It was just wrong. But Pog has obviously not forgotten

If you include Lance Armstrong but not Contador in 2010… or Floyd in 2006 for that matter.

How about 2004 and 2005?
That's not what they meant, it's more that pre-Tour race days in 2020 aren't a particularly useful data point because the Tour was in September, a load of races happened after that would normally happen before, and there was a three month gap between March races and when it picked up again. It's not particularly useful for the purposes of that stat
