Race radio is constantly breaking up. I appreciate tradition as much as the next guy, but using the radio equipment from the Battle of Normandy is going overboard.

Just bumped in on a bit delayed signal, being a bit dissapointed about the 'no contest' opener, but didn't manage to really root in me before in same moment EF going educational.

It makes zero sense. All that work to get the sprinter teams where they needed them to be and then immediately everyone stops trying. Throw in whatever EF are doing and the sprinter teams not letting the gap go out more before the hills to begin with and it really feels like the rain has washed away half the peloton's brains.
Sometimes I think there must be something known only by the people inisde the race leading to those tactical decisions. Otherwise I just can't understand how sometimes the entire peloton wants to get into the break and literally 10 kms later absolutely nobody does for no apparent reason.

Kristoff dropped with Cavendish while Groenewegen is still in the peloton.
Groenewegen was dropped briefly but he does seem to be a bit stronger this season. Two sprinters who are climbing well today (apart from the obvious ones) are Bennett and Ackermann

I don't understand why some of the teams with no success so far are content to sit in the peloton. It's as if they think just being in the Tour is victory enough.

Come on Jonas, these lot can only ride as fast over the hills as their slow sprinters can take, and there's loads of downhills.

Weather suits the Norwegian, Fleche Wallone 2024 regen.
