Same here. They will not be as strong as UAE or Visma, but they can cause the chaos with especially Evenepoel and Landa.

Possible, but between the 2 teams, I think Evenepoel and Landa are the 2nd and 3rd best rider when on top shape, and we know how offensive they are

Nearly all the teams have said the same thing, "stage hunting". With so many wanting to get into breaks it will be fast and furious from km.0

If Jorgenson isn't in superb shape they likely have nobody to drop Almeida, Ayuso or Yates, other than Vingegaard himself. That one top domestique to let the race totally explode is really important if you want to attack.

I'd wager Vingegaard isn't in shape to contend for victory. Kuss wasn't in shape either.

The real 'blow' here is to the copium narrative whereby Visma would only select these riders if their condition is good. No. Kuss didn't just catch Corona in recent days, i.e. his form has ranged from unremarkable to downright bad since the beginning of the season.

The point isn't even about when he caught Covid but rather the fact Kuss had evidently no form last week & yet he was still named in the team. Maybe they thought he'd improve but clearly that hasn't happened.

Regardless it is a blow if Vinge is by miracle in decent enough shape to challenge for the win.

I also suspect TJV is kinda desperate at the moment as TDF can represent saviour to their underwhelming season. It is going from bad to worse in 2024 for them.

I'm more surprised by Lemmen being the replacement. Not that he hasn't done well in his season at this level, but it must mean that Van Baarle definitely wasn't ready.
