I didn't know about that bridge. The fact that I thought it impossible to connect the new bike path to Val Thorens to Tougnete and Loze has been of great annoyence to me. This is making my mouth watering.

Is there any information about when they are planning to pave the Meribel side of Tougnete?
I couldn't find the bridge again :( So the route uses the same stretch of road twice... But in the same direction.

The rumour of la plagne is probably real.
Alpe d'huez also in the menu.

I have some doubts about the rumour of la loze, since they will do la plagne and alpe d'huez, unless they do some MTT on la loze area.

Stage finish on saturday before Paris in Pontarlier. What they can do on that stage?

Ventoux
Alpe d'huez
Courchevel
Sestriere
La plagne

It can't be all of this in one week. Probably sestriere is not right.
Why do you think Sestriere is out? To me it would make a bit more sense that something else is out considering all the rumours and Finestre being included in Avenir.
Sestriere through Finestre woud do so much sense from every point of view.

With all the options on the table, I think it makes sense to postpone Finestre to 2026. I wouldn't like to see the same stage in two GTs in a row.

But is Finestre-Sestriere nailed in for the Giro? If so, I definitely agree. Although I'd find it fun to see a proper comparison between the Giro and the Tour over the same course.
Anz Finestre-Sestriere is about the best possible scenario for such a comparison.

Because is hard for me to believe they will do 4 MTF in the third week.
What makes you think that apparently everything else you've heard rumours of recently is in but Sestriere, which was rumoured long time ago isn't?

I agree that we won't see 4 MTF's in the last week though. Although it wouldn't really surprise me considering how soft the first 2 weeks are supposed to be.

Because the rumour of sestriere/finestre, was talked that much in the last weeks.

The papers are giving more "certainties" about la plagne, and alpe d'huez, but i hope you are right and they go with Finestre/sestriere.

Granon is whatever. It's a good mountain finish, not Zoncolan or anything. Granon actually should be mildly similar to AdH that it limits action before but it was insane circumstances in 2022. We won't see that again.
I think the fact Granon is a steep climb, decent length, high altitude(i know we disagree in the impact of altitude), narrow and rougher road makes the climb a great mountain finish.

What happened on Galibier increased the gaps on Granon, but i think the gaps would be significant anyway.

Fairly plausible to have a stage similar to the 2011 Galibier stage.
