Thanks!
I don't think they are really comparable. Both pf the are too recent, much shorter and much steeper.I always thought Ventoux historically is the Tour de France's analogy to the Angliru & Zoncolan!?
I've believed that the ASO are planning to do Tougnete + Loze when the first is paved on both sides of the pass. The question is where they will finish, at the top of Loze or continue down to Courchevel?According to some comments on Velowire, the almost all of the hotels are booker in Courchevel come the last season of the Tour 2025.
Probably it means, Col de la loze again, but i they think in la tougnète, it would be great.
I hope they do the landing strip again! Perhaps twice? There's space enough for 3 "roads" on there, right!?The question is where they will finish, at the top of Loze or continue down to Courchevel?
Landing strip is way better, at least they have to do a few more kilometers by themselvesTop of Loze or landing strip doesn't make that much of a difference. Though probably top of Loze is slightly better. Give it 0 chance they're going all the way down.
Nevertheless, i am a bit surprised by the fact la loze will comeback so soon, if is right what was said on velowire.I hope Granon returns soon.
Some new information om Velowire.....

You're right! It's tarmac as well, isn't it?They can go one step further than in 2023 and finish at Col de la Platta:
Moûtiers > Courchevel (Col de la Platta)
130.0 km, +4978 m. Bike ride in Moûtiers, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpesridewithgps.com
Yes, visible on satellite images. You're right! It's tarmac as well, isn't it?
There's also a cycle path between Menuires and Val Thorens, and there's a bridge for skiing in Menuires, for the route to cross over itself, so with the planned connection between Tougnetes and Meribel that gives us: (New) Val Thorens, Tougnetes, Col de la Loze, Col de la Platta!!!Yes, visible on satellite images.
I don't think so.....Is Finestre still on the books or it's starting to look unlikely?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO. No really. Thanks for the advice! You will need to switch to OSM to map on the right road the whole way up.
It's quite annoying, as some parts of it needs to be mapped on Google to match perfectly with the satellite images of the road.NOOOOOOOOOOOO. No really. Thanks for the advice!
Yeah. OSM is wrong about a short section towards the bottom, still...It's quite annoying, as some parts of it needs to be mapped on Google to match perfectly with the satellite images of the road.
Just pave both ways of RosaelThere's also a cycle path between Menuires and Val Thorens, and there's a bridge for skiing in Menuires, for the route to cross over itself, so with the planned connection between Tougnetes and Meribel that gives us: (New) Val Thorens, Tougnetes, Col de la Loze, Col de la Platta!!!
La Plagne and Courchel is not far apart. Does that mean they are just descending to the valley (or start from the valley) and do only Tougnete and Loze which would mean a very short stage. Some new information om Velowire.....

I gave an example of how to use the valleys for early climbs. You can add 10-15 km if you start in Aime (and more if you use climbs in that valley not used in the previous stage).La Plagne and Courchel is not far apart.
