You must of had strange expectations. ... Did you seriously think he would be dropped on the bridge?

I just tried to be ironic. And when I saw the split, I wouldn't have been surprised had he missed the first group again. Flat stages are one of his few weak points (2009: wind, 2010: cobbles, 2011: lost time because of bad position in the field).

I'd love to see these five just hold on and Hoogerland win the stage - it won't happen, but it would be sweet if....

Yes, sweet, just skip the part with Johnny Testosteroni winning. And take Roy instead.

do you remember the 'entertaining' rider or the winner of the tour de france?????

Rather have an exciting tour that I don't remember than a boring tour that I do remember :)

I honestly don't mind the occasional boring stage, more often then not I'll just tune into the last 10km.

As long as the stages with expectation deliver I'm satisfied.

Do you watch the sport for your entertainment or because you want to know who the winner is?
Of course you remember who the winner is, but also the entertaining riders, everytime Hoogerland or De Gendt is at the front, you have people on this board cheering for them. A lot more then when Cav wins a stage...

But what is entertaining? It's different for different people.

Some want a breakaway to stay away because they see it as entertaining, but to me I just see four or five riders doing a lame sprint in the last 500m (there are rarely lots of a attacks), I prefer a sprint battle between several teams.
