Just tuned in, has Gesink been among the ones to hit the deck? Tjiallingi was the last Rabo to go down.

Yes, Gesink was one of the 1st to crash today. Bleeding, but stll in race. Braj from Radioshack was in same crash and was taken off in ambulance.

Boonen is being very ginger with his wrists. He'll probably be right next to Gesink in the x-ray waiting room tonight.

he continues but he looks in a lot of pain =/

Yeah it looks hard, and if it's his wrist that's pretty much game over sprint wise, there's no way he can win a sprint with a bad wrist. Hopefully it will be ok or at the very least good enough that he can slip away in a break and get a win that way.

Gesink was down earlier in the stage and made a headroll and badly hurt his knee by the looks of it.

The rabo who went down just was Tjallingii

I was afraid of that. Could he have avoided it? I just hope this doesn't affect him in the mountains. Supporting Gesink is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

The only wind is coming from the hot air Liggett and Sherwen are talking.
No doubt. THANKS PAUL for saying it's better to be at the front. For the 1000th time. I'm sure they'd ride 180 abreast if they could, but somebody has to end up at the back. And no Phil, it's probably not broken seeing as he just rotated the entire arm in front of the camera. He's tough, but not masochistic.

It's really unbelievable what kind of havoc can suddenly take place on a seemingly 'easy' stage. I hope Brajko is not too badly hurt, and I certainly hope that all of the other riders who fell will be able to continue.

Ok! This is getting too freaking crazy!

A funny detail: Danish TV was showing an interview with Nicki Sørensen, during which he said that he hoped there'd be no crashes, right as his rather peculiar crash happened...

Was hard to tell by the images. It looked like he was quite in the front, and somebody in front of him (probably Brajko) fell, just bad luck I guess, he looked hurt.

No it seems it was a touch of wheels. One went down and Gesink and Brajkovic had nowhere to go. They could not have avoided it.
The man in front of them probably could. As always is with these things.
