Nah it was on one line, so he was mostly just dropping Carapaz, who got blown out of the back a little while later.
Makes sense. Still chuckled when he looked back and had to stop pedaling to let people catch up at 1.8km, then had to keep double checking he wasn't dropping them again.

So, errr... I got a question:

Who was 'Imbert'? Apart from some guy who... apparently died there.

Also; why are we skipping straight from stage 2 to stage 4?

Apparently, I don't make enough predictions.
I am also terrible at predicting who'll win.
So, instead I'll continue something from the Oman thread; negative predictions:

Antoine Berlin will not win this bike race!

Carapaz out with covid. At least everyone of Ineos finishing in the first group yesterday should be out too, because they had very close contact after vivianis victory

Yeah, what an unimaginably terrifying prospect that someone rode today's and tomorrow's stage after having contracted the infection yesterday. The horror!

So you want every race to end with +40 DNF/S like Valenciana bc teams let it spread?
Carapaz is out. How many do you think he infected (on average) and how many do you think they infect in turn (during the race)? It's only the latter that would be mitigated by having the team withdraw at this point.

Nothing would change for Ineos because Carapaz has Covid, and the team would be close contacts. If they don’t test positive, that means that Carapaz might not have had a higher viral load. Ineos just has to keep riding their race.

Heavy breathing directly into their face while hugging, i would not be surprised to see Viviani, Ganna and Rowe to test positive soon or getting removed from the startlist of their next race without communication.
Good thing is that this is a very short stage race.

Convenient omission. I don't think the data on household attack rate support the likelihood of that being the case.
