A good win for the less interesting Yates, a shame that tomorrow's stage doesn't really offer too much scope for much to happen, as with the gaps on the GC so small if we could have got a slightly hilly circuit it could have been a real grandstand finish tomorrow. Oh well.

They're both as interesting. :joycat: Nope.

Nice work out for the UAE train and topped off by Yates grinding away for the win. Pinot shows he's on good form too, which is good news for the Giro.

What a great rider Adam Yates still is… Clearly he‘s always underestimated. But he‘s a real rocket on his bike. Happy for him today.

I‘m totally shocked how strong Vingegaard must be and is: he dropped Adam Yates by almost half an hour in last year‘s TdF‘s final GC… Incredible!…

Under the radar: Rainer Kepplinger. Jason Osborne 2.0, but if he can finish like this he might see more of a Jay Vine trajectory. Kinda funny Denk is so obsessed with the new Roglic, but then misses out on this again.
Kepplinger was always a rather light rower who was known for his engine.

Also Jorgenson is moving to Jumbo Visma, unfotunately.

Very unfortunate. Why go from a leader at Movistar to a domestique at JV? Is it just the $$?

Cheesy win

Hold on, just noticed - mainly due to @Armchair cyclist pointing it out over in the "Podiums and Prizes" thread - that the graphics people got a little confused.

What do we think about Bernal? Finished 8th at +54'. I think its good to see him good enough to climb like that, he should continue to improve. Then we can also see if his back is still a problem in grand tours.
I don't know yet. I would like to see one truly top level climbing performance first. Today he was good, but I thought he'd be better, to be honest, especially since he's not fazed by bad weather.
