Nice stage, beautiful roads.
Cort looked spent with 500 mt to go, but then passed GVA at double speed.

Cort is definitely climbing better than his time at Mitchelton Scott - Taken another step forward his year.

"Cow and Calf", a large rock formation consisting of an outcrop and boulder, also known as Hangingstone Rocks. The rocks are made of millstone grit, a variety of sandstone, and are so named because one is large, with the smaller one sitting close to it, like a cow and calf. Legend has it that there was once also a "bull", but that was quarried for stone during the spa town boom that Ilkley was part of in the 19th century. However, none of the local historians have provided any evidence of the Bull's existence. Source: wiki :)

Normally the field is stronger in Yorkshire, isn't it?

Yes, It used to be a week earlier so you’d get a few riders use it as a final prep for the Giro.

Big crowds at Sutton Bank too. I can't think of another 2.1 race where the crowds are anywhere near this big.

BMC Drilling it over the top of Sipho. Cav dropped. Day over for him? Odds on him not starting tomorrow?

Good sprint by Walscheid, he was almost getting boxed in when Cort Nielsen made his jump out of nowhere. So Walscheid had to hold back, come around and then accelerate again. Really impressive actually.

Wait, Cort won yesterday? Guess he will be put under really hard pressure tomorrow, interesting to see if he can keep it. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he does given how Astana and the Danes are performing this year.

I know it's like choosing butt warts or d*ck warts but if it was ned Boulting or Carlton Kirkby or would be CK all day. Boulting is just clueless.

Notes from the Piece Hall grand depart. Amazing crowds. Harry Tanfield looks like a beast. And Shane Archbold has the most impressive mullet I've seen for 20 years.
