Now I wish the TTT had actually counted for individual GC. Race would almost have been over.

Froome is laughing all the way to the bank, 5 million a year, that's a million for every minute he lost in the ttt today, if the graphic is correct he'd be last in GC if they were counting time, beaten by almost 2 minutes by the mighty Ethiopian national team.

Nice coloured shirts both among the riders and the spectators.

The world championship there will be a top event.

It should be. And Froome will have a big advantage, by racing the World champs circuit beforehand.

PS: About 8km to go. They break have about 8 min of advantage.

William Junior Lecerf will totally dominate this race I think. I was expecting him to be the strongest climber on the harder stages but it seems he is even one of the faster ones in a bunch sprint somehow.
He's the next Remco after all.

It's a bit funny. There are so many development teams participating so the field is really young to begin with so they have drawn the line for the young riders jersey at only age 20.

Otherwise something like 80% of the field would be in the young riders category.

Lecerf is fast, but not a real sprinter. He'll always lose against (top)sprinters. He is a decent climber, but not in the category of the real climbers. So I think he will develop to a punchy allrounder (not on cobbles). It's always an advantage to have a strong sprint finishing with a small group.

He is decently fast, no doubt. He has a punch too, but please let's not take the bunchsprints in this race serious. He was literally 7 bikelenghts behind the great Eimar Einhorn, who was basically the only so called sprinter in that whole group.

But yes, without bad luck or crazy tactics (Total has the numbers) he should win this race.
