How far is it still to go on the stage? I imagine Tankink is sitting on but it's still 12 people against whoever is chasing and yet the break has lost 2.30 quite quickly.

The Twitter said the peloton went through the feed zone approx. half an hour ago.

Feed zone 81kms from finish. Maybe 50 mins to an hours left.

Thanks. So I guess it's not all over espicially as the break doesn't seem to be cooperating well.

Boom being great the one day, and awful the next? What a surprise.

Why else would he let such a group go?
This is a no race radios race right?

Attacks always early in the stage..large group goes..Boom probably only keeps an eye on Thomas... and then suprise suprise, some danger men are in the break.

Wonder if Rogers is sitting on too. With his deficit to other people in the break then Sky might fancy their best chance of overall lies with Thomas, especially if Rabobank are working hard today.

And at the current rate, I reckon it's going to take an hour to catch the break, so very nicely poised.

Only 2:30 left for the break. Peloton is flying. I wonder who's helping Rabobank because this can't possible be the work of Flens, Vermeltfoort and who else is there alone

Half an hour ago, Rapha Condor tweeted: Sky organising their chase.

Seems like NetApp and An post are chasing aswell though - impression from Twitter is, not one team is doing this alone, but various teams contributing

A lot of big races seem to avoid climbs that are known to local club riders.

Sometimes it's simply a case of the route planners not knowing the areas intimately. Yesterday's stage could easily have been pretty awesome, there's a small road from Pontypridd to Caerphilly which is long and crazy steep, and would have been a perfect run-in before the final climb. But to be fair, they can't know every road everywhere.

He's from Plympton on the edge of Dartmoor, I'm not surprised to see him having a go today :)
