Can this thread be closed because the ToC is probably more boring than the Tour Down Under.

Bite your tongue. Don't you know it's the FOURTH Grand Tour?

Seriously though, I hope we have a good stage around the lake. If Giro guys can descend the Crostis and ride the Strade Bianche in the rain, these ToC guys can ride in some flurries.

OK folk, with the racing about to start, comments that have nothing more to say than that it doesn't interest you, will be treated as trolling. I think plenty of folk have made that point over the years. Game on. If you don't care about it, don't post. Let others have their fun.

If the ToC wants to be considered as the major international race that it so desperately insists it already is, the organisers need to do everything they can to race the full stage today.

Doubt they will race today!

I live 50 miles from Lake Tahoe @ 2200 ft and it is snowing and sticking here. They are going to get at least 1 ft of snow at the lake. I heard they may postpone until Monday. I guess we will see.

Snow at Sunnyside and Jake's (west shore). Total bummer.

I hope they do that, running it today would be a joke. Well, I don't know, supposed to snow tomorrow as well.

I got up to watch the Giro, weather said it would snow above 4000ft and it is still snowing here at 2200 ft. The storm is worse than what they thought. I wanted to ride today and it does not look good. Can't imagine they will race in this.

This post has a suspicion index of 6 which is really a 0 but could also be a secret 10.

TOC organizers obsession with NoCal will be the death of them.

Altogether avoiding the OC all these years as well.

Starting at 1:15 local time and route shortened to 80 km.

That was my prediction last night on this forum. Postponing is not logistically possible, racing full course is not physically possible, and canceling is not commercially possible.

50 some odd miles will suck in those conditions. Doubt we'll see any "racing".

I am hearing from a very well-placed source (not stealing your act Hog, I promise) that it is looking very unlikely that the stage will be raced at all.

It's ok. Even when there's no racing at the ToC it's more exciting than when there is. The Giro is dead. Pat's World Tour lives.

you'd think if they truly want to compete with the giro they would want an epic snow stage
