YepIn fairness to Hayter, you can win so many points in the points race that if you're trying to save energy it makes sense to coast two of the first three races, try to win one, and then go all out in the points race. It's what Viviani did in 2020, and he got bronze (it's also what I think he is trying today).
First, letting France through the team sprint despite two false starts (very explicitly against the rules) and now Thomas being eliminated and then let back in for, reasons? The bias shown to France this Olympics has been unbelievable... absolutely unbelievable

No way that would've been called had Thomas not been last. Judges have been ridiculously lenient all week, and then suddenly strict when it's Thomas being eliminated.Gaviria rode on the blue line. It also required quite a bit of energy for Thomas to actually close the gap. Not everyone would have been able to come back in that situation.

Not sure if it was deliberate cheating or bad bike control. Either way, pretty clear relegation. Rowsell seemed pretty sure at least, but she's actually quite normalCrossed the red line. You can celebrate and yell all you want, see you later Carlin. Cheat.

No relegation?British Omerta strikes once more, insane.
Goodness. The commissaires having a mare here, between this and the general treatment of the FrenchCorrect.
