He rode for Team Tabriz Petrolchimical.

Actually, he didn't. NSP sent a team to the Azerbaijan Tour, with a.o. Eichler, Markus Fothen, Fiedler, Obst and Björn Thurau.

The German riding for Tabriz is Tobias Erler.

Lotto will use Ridley bikes

Great news, I have a bit of a crush on Ridleys and with Bianchi taking over at Vacansoleil I was hoping they would still be about :)

It wasn't Blaudzun (who's long retired), but Lasse Bøchman. ;)

Oh sorry I confused those two! It's weird though that Bochman can't seem to find a team, Flèche du Sud is one of the most prestigious amateur races

My bad.
Thanks for the correction.

Still to find out who is leaving though

Expecting Downing :(, Augustyn and Barry to go. Maybe Possoni

Certainly much stronger than this year. Porte, Henao, Cavendish, Pate, Siutsou in exchange for Henderson, Gerrans, Pauwells, Cummings etc

What is happening with Leif Hoste wrt to next year?

What I heard from a friend in Belgium who trains with the Hoste group.

He is under contract at Katusha, it's the same situation as they had with Kirchen unfortunately - they are happy to keep him on the team next year and let him sort his health problems out with a view to racing again at some point.

Say what?

1999: Kim Kirchen
2001: Bradley Wiggins
2004: Andy Schleck
2006: Geraint Thomas
2008: Tejay Van Garderen (2nd)
2011: Bob Jungels (3rd)

Not so bad for the last couple of years I would say ...

With Kirchen they were not willing to keep him on the team and sort out his health problems so good for Hoste

Devolder and Van Avermaet to Radioshack-Nissan?

"According to our information, Bruyneel has two fellow countrymen on his list. In Belgium they are speculating that the Ronde Van Vlaanderen winner of 2008, Stijn Devolder, as well as the recent winner of Paris-Tours, Greg Van Avermaet, could soon put themselves in the service of Radioshack-Nissan. Stijn Devolder was already with Bruyneel at the US Postal and Discovery Channel teams"

I don't really see why it would be better for Van Avermaet than BMC.

And unless Bruyneel works his 'magic' Devolder won't be of much use.

Well, Van Avermaet openly hates Gilbert and BMC's classics team will be way better RadioShack's, how it looks now. He would be second leader behind Cancellara in Shack. And Bruyneel most probably actively looking for a strong rider like Van Avermaet, he needs a rider like him and he has most probably no other choices, if I say there is a rider like Greg available, there are no other good riders for classics in the market now. I see it possibly true and I would like to see rider like Greg in my favourite team IMO.

Anyway, I hate Devolder so I really hope he will stay in Vacansoleil..

Openly hates ????

wanted to be a leader rather than a Dom is more like it.

PS as Ive been saying for the last 6 months GVA will likely win more with Gilbert on his team.

if he leaves BMC I hope he goes back/to Lotto
