dlwssonic is a nice guy but indeed no1 takes him seriously.

i am going to give you an advice dlwssonic, if you want too you can ignore it, but i will give it to you anyway.

stop obsessing so much over bmc, 100% of your posts are about bmc and you try to bring bmc into every discussion 90% of the times unsuccessfully, haven't you noticed that when, after a race, you post your usual "rider X from BMC did great and so did rider Y and Z" even tho most of the times the results are invisible results no1 cares about, no1 ever replies to you? that's because people are discussion results that actually matter like who won and who was in contention.

think about it.

p.s. also try to learn something about cycling that isn't BMC related because many times you make a fool out of yourself unnecessarily.

i hope i didn't came up as too harsh on you, it's just some friendly advice that imo will make you enjoy this sport a lot more

its ok:eek: I will try to take heed to your advice. But don't be mad if I go totally berserk if Gilbert wins LBL:eek:

no he's not. boonen is faster and better and cancellara is a lot better. what are the odds that both will drop out of race? and then I still have to see him wheelsuck flecha or ballan to the finish. or perhaps even a strong boom. msr absolute 0 chance. he will always encounter riders that are faster than him

Hell never win MSR cos he doesnt care (enough) to peak for it, but with that Tour form he was on where he dropped Schleck on a hill, i think he could do it.

To defend dwlsonic i find it heartwarming that young people in Singapore where presumably there is no coverage of cycling whatsoever, are staying up late at night to watch crappy streams of our sport, and not just the TDF but all kinds of events.

If support for one rider or one team is what it takes, so be it.

This is the kind of fan that cycling needs.

Good to hear of the new 6 year contract that will keep dwlssonic in our sport:p

Thanks! Im really touched:) you made my day:)
Yeah it kinda sucks being in Singapore, where hardly anyone watches cycling at all or knows anything other than Tour de france. I have no one at all to talk about cycling to other than you great forum guys. the closest I got was seeing one guy in a cofidis and livestrong:eek: jersey. Here its all BPL or occasionally NBA. I am so grateful my cable station got eurosport, its really the reason how I got to know about cycling and seeing a article on the tour de france 2009 a day before the event. thats the only time we have cycling on the newspapers. But yeah I do watch crappy streams when eurosport don't have the races.

To be honest, I think the timing of the races here are great! For example today's LBL will be from 815pm to 11pm. Its always in the night and the only time Im actually free.

I will try to be less BMC-orientated and a better cycling fan.

Yeah! I am sure I would not fall out of love for this sport. Even if BMC closes down, I will find a new rider and new team to fanboy and troll:p
Hopefully my exams and conscription won't affect me too much from watching this great sport.

Oh no:D ( jks- i want him to win as well )/ BMC i like mainly because of Evans but i also want Gilbert to go well because he is a class rider ( even before BMC ).

I also like GE ( aussie of course ).

2 million euros for a guy that is never going to win a monument foir you and maybe a tour stage is quite a lot. you can't refind your sprint. hushovd has lost it like many powersprinters do over time. boonen is 3 years younger than hushovd and was always faster
I would not be as certain about that. I think Boonen is just more talented ( both are still great ) but Boonen has always had a dedicated sprint train ( 2007 TDF ).

from CN live coverage of LBL

We may have an announcement on Nibali's long-term future in the coming days, however. Linked with Astana in the early months of the season, Nibali is now understood to be on the verge of agreeing a new deal with Liquigas. The final details may well be sketched out on his flight back to Italy tonight. “We might have the decisive meeting on the plane home,” he said. “I don’t think there’ll be big problems.”

Awesome news. Liquigas will continue to have great success with Nibali and Sagan leading them. It will be interesting to see if Basso will stick with the team or if they'll sign someone else to be their GC rider for races where Nibbles isn't riding. Because I don't think Capecchi, Agnoli, Szymd etc are capable of being GC contenders

That can't be. He has signed six or seven contracts with Astana already. :D

yup, i was posting from my phone so i didn't bothered to elaborate but i can do it now.

hey gloin22 where is your god now? in yo face!!!!! :p

just joking but those rumours were mighty sillly and have always been, nibali is italians most popular cyclist on the best italian team, it's a perfect match no need to move to such a weird team as astana

nibali isn't the most popular italian cyclist at all. he is from messina, sicilia en south italians are mostly hated in all the rest of italia. only in south italy nibali is popular. but then again cycling isn;t popular at all in the south of italy

italian posters from the south I guess

basically no one in italy is popular anymore. riders like nibali (and basso) as the "stars" are the reason why it's going so badly with italian cycling. but di luca, scarponi and basso for instance are more popular than nibali. a lot. although with basso his popularity is because of gazzetta being behind him and di luca making up all bs about finding god and returnign clean to cycling.

Im pretty sure I remember Italian fans going berserk when Nibali won tirreno though, and San Benedetto del Tronto is hardly south Italy.

Tirreno was different. Nibali was honoured like a true hero, as in he's the next big Italian hope. But maybe it was just me...

Ex-Footon and Geox man David Gutiérrez (this is David Gutiérrez Gutiérrez, not David Gutiérrez Palacios, José Iván's brother) has signed with Portuguese Continental team Onda-Boavista and will make his debut with them at the Vuelta a Asturias next week.

15 teams are announced for it. Most are predictable, a couple are a bit left field.
Movistar
Euskaltel
Caja Rural
Andalucía
Orbea Continental
Burgos-BH
EPM-UNE
Lokosphinx
Cofidis
Onda-Boavista
Carmim-Prio
Efapel-Glassdrive
Start Cycling Team

Selección Nacional Española
Selección Nacional Argentina

So, no Miche (!), no Russian national (that's covered by Lokosphinx I assume, since many of the Russian riders who used to do the Spanish calendar are the ones on Lokosphinx, such as Shilov and Shalunov), and a couple of Argentine teams to add external spice. Still probably all about the second string Spanish teams and the Portuguese.

A couple? I see only one. ;)
