The Hayman to GreenEdge rumours seem to have died down (you'd have thought he'd be quite high up their target list) so he might well be staying with Sky or possibly going elsewhere?

My guess is that he's staying. If the number of riders leaving is 11 as has been suggested then I doubt Hayman would be one of them since it seems there are enough other riders leaving to fill that number.

Hope so. Really like him.

Danny Pate is a good signing. Especially if hayman is leaving. Pate is the kind of rider every team needs. Doesnt win much hinself, but does the work to allow those riders who do win, to win.

A replacement for Michael Barry pretty much.

covers the Steve Cummings gap as well.

Pate covers Cummings? Pate is similar to Hayman except Hayman is a good classics rider. Cummings is a good all rounder.

Definitely. I was thinking someone like Siutsou would be a more like-for-like replacement for Cummings (ok, he has a better stage racing Palmares than Cummings but they're a much more similar type of rider). Cummings is a big upgrade for BMC on the likes of Moinard, Santaromita etc. Him and Van Garderen should at last provide Evans with some decent support in the big mountain stages.

Anyone out here who has some kind of idea which riders are still looking for new contracts? At least Freire is still searching, Eisel and Cav aren't sure yet. Who's left?

interesting sub plot on this. Apparently Sean Yates told the team on the final day of the Dauphine that Konstantsin was there to help if they needed him

We're into the drip-drip-drip announcements of of HTC riders to Sky. Just Eisel and maybe Cav left?

Hayden Roulston hasn't signed for anybody for the 2012 season IIRC.

In other news, the Haedo bro's re-sign with Saxo Bank.

I know HTC weren't going to get anything out of that day if Svistov was wanting impress potential suitaors. Ofcourse it looks like it was a done deal and he was willing to help his new team if needed it would be intresting to look back and see if he did help the SKY balls at all. He must of been really keen on joining Sky. Excellent selfless signing by SKY.

Ballan is the biggest name I can think of without a contract and no strong rumours. I also think it's very possible that a few of the Radioshack-Leopard riders will get out of their contracts so I don't consider them confirmed until they say it themselves. I'm sure there will be a few other surprise transfers.

they are in fact very fast

Can ITT and climb and great on the cobbles and read a race better than any cyclist ever.

Fast and fast they are not sprinter fast.

Good rider look forward to next year but be a little sensible.

I would have to either watch the race video or dig through the dauphine thread, but i have a vague recollection of a couple of riders doing some work that didnt seem overly logical at the time.

edit: had a look back. sivtsov was a part of the ten man group including wiggins that chased down Rodriguez and Gesink. He then did a bit of work with EbH and Uran before dropping off the back of the group at about 5km to go.
He certainly did some work in bringing back the Rodriguez attack.

Jaan Kirsipuu signed a new contract with Team Champion System, so he could very possible ride in the Pro Continental next year...

Also, it's very likely that they will import some more Estonians in, 3-4 riders

According to the stickybottle site, Gediminas Bagdonas (An Post Sean Kelly) is in negotiations with an unnamed big team. This is great news, because he's much too good to be racing at the Conti level, even though it's a pity for his team.

Does anyone know what team it is? I'd guess one of the Belgian outfits, although I suppose Garmin is a possibility given that they already have Navardauskas.

Apparently Heinrich Haussler is not in fact dead but still able to win races. Anyone know if he's sticking with Garmin or moving on next year?
