Hey does anyone know what's going on with FlyV? No news but they've lost some of their riders, especially noteworthy is 2 of the loyal guys:

Cantwell -> SaxoBank
Kemps -> Champion Systems
Freiberg -> Jayco-AIS

If they are disbanding I hope someone like Johnny Walker can find another team, even if its just an Aussie Conti team.

They folded not long after Tour of the Murray. Thats why Kersten was riding for 2XU and Law was riding for 2XU at the later races of the year. No idea why but they just ceased to exist

Tour of Murray: AUGUST 28 - SEPTEMBER 4, 2011

Tour of Tasmania: October 4 - 9, 2011

Herald Sun Tour: October 12 - 16, 2011

So when did they actually fold?

According to This site Cobo is going to Team Type 1. And he may bring De la Fuente and Duran with him.

Strange decision! But if the team succeeds in getting a Vuelta Wildcard it could turn out to be a good one.

bricks shiitting moment:eek:

also cobo's loyalty to matxin costed him a million dollars!!!it's absolutely unbelievable what happened.he's been offered one million and more contract for one year right after the vuelta at big teams and now he will earn at most one hundred thousand per year,at most!!!let's check back in time when a fresh grand tour winner earned so little the next season without being caught by cops or the labs.

it this is not loyalty at its finest,i don't know what it is.
team type 1,the team i used to make fun of,unbelievable.maybe matxin is going to?this was the rumoured american sponsor maybe??

Anyway, EBH originally said that he was looking to resign with Sky during the year, but he's also in talks with Saxo bank who has offered him a much bigger salary and the role as a leader in pretty much any race he can win, whereas in Sky the brits will always be prioritized.

I heard he is in negotiations with other teams but can not remember I have seen Saxo bank beeing named in any article, so I wonder whats your source for this information.

saxobank has been widely reported in most cycling media back as far as June/July. They tried to buy him out of his contract for 2012.

Norwegian TV2 reported some time ago that Saxo Bank had offered him a contract of 20 million NOK. He's obviously very interesting for their sponsor.

Didn't astana offer cobo a big contract? why isn't Cobo getting big offers from other big teams? I read movistar offered him something, but it probably wasn't a a big contract.

they offered but he refused and choose to wait gianetti miracle.of course now,in the last moments of 2011 absolutely no one will give you a big contract because in these moments,cobo just wants a team,he can't have financial preferences.it was a risky decision and he lost.caisse d'epargne from what i understand gave him about 100.000 euros for the next season.i doubt team type 1 will pay him more,only if they found some other sponsors.

There's 800, 000 reasons for him to stay at Sky - not sure he's worth that to anyone else?
