Let's trust an assumption by someone on the internet, instead of what the rider says. Why would Rogers lie? If his watt output didn't increase he wouldn't say a thing. Well, at least that would make more sense.

so his watt output increased. who cares about that? eltink had his watt put increase and he only started to suck more and more. it means nothing if you don't take in all other elements(that we don't know).

This is about watt output on the road and in-race, not about some lab W/kg test results. Eltink couldn't produce anything near 7 W/kg in the races he rode, while the numbers for Rogers are taken from race data.

That is something that has been stated a number of times but it would never have happened. There's no way Rogers could have ever stayed with Rasmussen on the last two mountains of the stage.

It's stated because he was maillot jaune virtuel on the road as he crashed out, but I agree with you - he was only ~40s ahead of Chicken on GC IIRC and would likely have lost that on the climb to Tignes (remember Chicken didn't get rid of Colom and Arroyo until the final climb).

But Rogers had finished quite well in a few GT's before that.

Selander is so young (i completely forgot that he was best young rider at the Giro last year). I wonder if he could get back onto a WT team.

Then Rogers would have left the Chicken flapping in the TT.
