True, very true. What about that woman who is on Eurosport nowadays? She sounds like she just swallowed a bicycle...
I never watch Eurosport, for fear of having to listen to Nelissen, but I think that's Tour de Jose or whatever her name is.

a woman as a sportsannouncer. how could you ever take that seriously?

Oh Ryo, when will you ever learn? How many times have you sat on the sidelines now because of not being able to help yourself with situations like this?

Yeah, Renaat is funny. Jose + Renaat = my favorite team.

Jose for the knowledge and Renaat for the humor.

Yeah definitely, all the Dutch people I know, who know a little bit about cycling, watch Sporza because of this.

I simply don't care for that. the only reason I post here is for entertainment of others. usually I stay away much longer than my banned periods

Please refrain from commentator talk in this thread and keep it to transfers and rumours, please? :)

In what way is that a pathetic excuse?

Claiming that the other team had more strong riders, had the better strategy and was basically the better team.

Sounds an awful lot like simply stating the obvious.

Agreed. When you have a palmares like Boonen its worth listening to him.I neither like nor dislike Boonen but he's been in at the sharp end long enough to know.

Majka hasnt prolonged with SBTB yet (iirc), though Riis already during the Tour said he wants to keep him. Wondering if any1 gonna snatch him after his performance in this Vuelta

Would probably be a loss for all parties involved.

If anyone, I guess Movistar.

Ok, tomorrow will be the day for announcements, let´s get some facts on the table. Will be interesting to match up Sky vs Saxo vs BMC vs Astana for the tour.

Bob Jungels:

Yes I know where I will ride next year. But I am not yet allowed to say anything. Whether you might be surprised? You might ... (smiles)

It seems odd that RSNT would want to keep this signing a secret, especially since he comes from their own farming team and they want to get a positive outlook on next year.

On the other hand it seems odd that they would not have been able to lure him over, or that Jungels would pass up the opportunity to work with Cancellara, for example

Sky have been very interested in him for a while but if he isn't going to RSNT then it could be anywhere really as every world tour team would be interested in such a talent.

Do you know who his agent is?

OPQS should sign him. They don't have anyone for the races he wants to be good in. It's been since 2008 actually since they had a decent rider for that territory.

I know that Lucien Didier, father of RSNT rider Laurent Didier and former professional, has been a close mentor to him, but I don't think he would be his agent. Other than that I have no idea ...

Yes that would be a good fit, he could learn a lot from Martin and Boonen for example.

A while ago it was rumoured that French teams were very interested, but as Ranton said pretty much anyone must be interested. Some users on cyclismactu have been suggesting AG2R, where he could join his friends Julian Kern and Ben Gastauer. But I think this is more wishful thinking, as much as I appreciate AG2R, Jungels going there would seem like a bit of a waste

Another restday without a word so far, this is getting pathetic!!
And UCI says the point system works?
A real pity the media choose to spend their time with Riis and Fuentes when the real problem lies at UCI and fat Paddy, dig in that case instead and lets get some competent people in instead and clean up in their own ranks first.
