Lol, you actually even remotely think Wiggins could go to Cannondale or Euskaltel?

If so, you're having a laugh ( no disrespect to anyone ). Wiggins will either retire or go to a English based team i.e. Garmin at best.

Not sure Sky will not extend for 1 year with him. The image he's carrying in Britian is massive. And that's the most important thing for Sky.

Even if Wiggins is not performing, he's getting them more publicity than e.g. winning smaller races noone or no general public cares for in Uk.

The Euskaltel option was a joke of course, but Wiggo's point haul in '12 is valuable. Such is the system.

Wiggo could easily pick up a nice retirement package somewhere and not do a thing for the next 1-2 years.

Wiggo at Euskaltel... if you think about it, wouldn't it be just the thing for Wiggo to do? F.ck you all, I'm joining the Basques.

seems exactly the thing wiggins would do. does seem ridiculous but if froome wins the tour, sky won't want wiggins so wiggins would have to leave. plus euskaltel don't have a clear leader and desperately neep wt points

orica no because it only has sprinters and classics riders and at garmin he burnt bridges with people like vaughters for suddenly leaving to sky despite being in a contract. he could try and reconcile with vaughters and beg for a second chance  . but that just isn't brad.

Another possibility is he steps down from the road to return to the track ready for 2016 Rio while still at Sky. British Cycling has already said anyone wanting to race at Rio will need to dedicate 2 full years to the project and not think they can just step back in from the road at will, I think this was aimed at Cav & Wiggo when they both said they would love to be in the pursuit team last year at the Olympics, he could then retire still as the hero most Brits seem to think he is. This would also suit Sky as they still get the feel good factor that surrounds him and good PR whilst providing a great excuse not to race him in the same way they did with G, kennaugh & Swift last year. Win win all round

Garmin doesn't need Wiggo. Plenty of GC material on the team and they don't need the points.

Wiggo descends like a carrot, the team fits him like a glove.

yup wiggo to track would be a strong possibility if froome wins. what events are there that he could do?? I honestly doubt he would change to track just to do a team pursuit. knowing wiggo he will want to win an event that's individual. as for garmin sharp having more than enough leaders - theres that also, but they're still developing their young guys for several years ahead and hesjadel is inconsistent and unlucky atm

Andy Schleck and Wiggo to swap teams ?

The Sky environment might just be what Andy needs (Whatever it is they do they seem to get riders on their A game) and Wiggo could be the #1 uncontested GC man at a team which would make him happy.

It probably won't happen, but it would make sense for both men.

it look like SKY is interested in many riders. do we expect many riders to leave Sky at the end of 2013?

currently there are 27 riders signed for Team Sky (including at least 2 neo pros: Boswell, Edmondson, Dombrowski + Earle and propably Stuyven and those columbians for 2014), so they have a limit of 30 riders.

So if they'd sign Stuyven, Sebastian Henao and Jaramilla two riders would have to leave the team, yes.

Jaramilla is said to join Orica-Greenedge.

It has been rumoured on a portuguese blog that Rui Costa already has a pre-deal with a WT other then Movistar.

I won't be putting much credibility to it as Costa always said he would prioritize staying at Movistar but if true who could that team be? Someone with money and in need of some serious points would be the best fit.

Saxo, Cannondale, Blanco :)o), Lotto, The Shack ?
