he already said he's not going for a GT win anymore, maybe he's on a reduded salary, he doesn't have to live as a monk anymore, he's been with the team for 5 years, it's his home, he trains in Mallorca and Tenerife where Sky also trains, less pressure to perform on GC, time for the track, British cycling star riding for the British team.
no stress to get on a new team, bikes, training regime, people, schedule etc.
he's good where he's at now, and enjoying the Tour de France eheh.
