Not really if I was management and was looking for new riders the last place I'd go to is Astana. Armstrong, Contador, Bruyneel, Vinokourov, Scarponi, Martinelli, Pellizottii. Its not a Billy Joel song, its a list of Astana riders/staff who have been linked to doping. - I'd imagine they do things a bit different over there.

Completely agree. Should they both finish this season in sound fitness and health, they can then undertake a preparation that can allow then to realistically set such targets for next season rather than "Hail Mary's" such as Simon's 2 breakaways in this Tour.

Both will also need to step up their TTing at least a couple of notches to be real GT contenders. Whilst Sky has an enviable record in this area, so does their current team (arguably stronger than Sky in the team event) and arguably under less pressure.

Whilst Sky may well throw mega $$$$ their way at the end of 2015, they may do better to wait another "contract extension" before considering such a move. By then, they (and any potential "suitors") will have a far better read as to whether their climbing ability is really up to GT contender level or more suited as stage hunters/shorter climbs or Classics racing. At that point, Sky may be the way to go ... or maybe not. Others may also show distinct interest.

I would love to see him at OPQS. Until now they only got Poels and Uran as (very) good climbers. One is a domestique. If they really want to support Uran, König would be an ideal pick. Especially since Bakala is giving the money.

Yeah and I also watched this years Giro. Despite Roche good work yesterday for Majka and in some other stages for Contador I still have some doubts about his domestique mentality.
Also I didn't say anywhere that Barguil would do any sort of job better than Roche although I think he would be better as a climber in the high mountains.

Good to see Frank getting a contract. Despite all the bad luck he had earlier in the season, he's putting in a decent show in the Tour and he won't finish below 13th unless he has really bad luck. Not even his legendary TT skills can make him drop to 14th now, Trofimov is 10 minutes down.
I hope he puts his mind into the Giro-Vuelta next year. Stage hunting or going for KOM there should be better than be a domestique for someone else (Mollema, Kiser?) in the Tour.
