Parent team?![]()
Sky...
I think he should (have) consider(ed) offers for 2016. His place in the Olympic team pursuit team is not guaranteed. Clancy and Wiggins are pretty certain, and then two of Burke, Tennant, Doull and Dibben are rotated between qualifiers and the final of the last few track competitions. In 2012, GB used Burke, Clancy, Thomas and Kennaugh for all three rounds at the Olympics, so two of the above will not be in the Rio team. Doull clearly has the talent for the road, if I were him I'd look at pro conti offers now.

No news about it for about six months, I would assume not (sadly).
Libertine Seguros said:They do have a bit of a history of picking up aging guys, for sure, but it's hard to see what benefit Leukemans would impart to them, because I don't think his experience is going to be that beneficial to most of the young riders Movistar are trying to bring through, Sütterlin is perhaps the only young rider on the team that would seem that way directed. Unless your contention is that the new heavyweight Betancur could consider a tilt at de Ronde. Which wouldn't actually be as far fetched as first thought.
Hopefully the TDU add on another invite or two, Dimesion Data would be a good start as they showed that they were willing to travel last year when they did the Evans road race. Inviting more Pro Conti teams would also beef up the fields at the Bay Crits and Herald Sun Tour as well as giving young riders a chance to shine in their own way.Libertine Seguros said:Wonder if TDU will do additional wildcards, normally it only does the WT plus the Australia national squad effectively, but Drapac have started getting invites, you have to wonder if, with a complete mini-season down there and with the Aus/NZ contingent if ONE will try to do it, then the Cuddles Ocean Road Race and the Herald Sun Tour. I don't see the roster they have getting them much change wrt WT wildcards, so they may need to come out of the gate hot to try to prove their worth to get more invites later in the season. Białoblocki's success this year will help, certainly, but I expect their calendar to be basically Britain, punctuated with some other Europe Tour races including some northern French one day and short stage races (Dunkerque, Fourmies, the Breton races, Denain etc.) and some Scandinavian and Low Countries races, maybe the German .1 races (Köln, Frankfurt and Berlin) and the Danmark Rundt.
Telefónica Germany bought out E-Plus in 2013 which increased their visibility in the German market massively. With Telefónica owning the O2 brand in the UK, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia, they were on the lookout for riders covering those interests, and as they already had Dowsett, the latter were targeted. Their choice was to look for a young talent to develop because they already had enough top level names to accommodate the targets of and the elite talents from those three countries were either tied down and/or too expensive or did not fit the team's direction.BalearicBeats said:Libertine Seguros said:They do have a bit of a history of picking up aging guys, for sure, but it's hard to see what benefit Leukemans would impart to them, because I don't think his experience is going to be that beneficial to most of the young riders Movistar are trying to bring through, Sütterlin is perhaps the only young rider on the team that would seem that way directed. I've always wondered why Sütterlin is at Movistar. What use do they have for him except as a workhorse on the flat (which seems a horrible use of the talent this guy used to show)?
They are okay but I wouldn't call them very decent, they will get some wins but I wouldn't be expecting to much from them next seasonyaco said:The One squad is very decent for a PCT team. I can see them racking up a number of wins especially against PCT and CT teams. Victories against WT teams is more problematic but definitely achievable.
Well it's probably better than slaving away for Rui Sousarodanafrenteguigs said:Nuno Bico , U23 National Champion of Portugal will ride next season in desenvolvement Team of Etixx QuickStep - Awt Greenway .
