Owain Doull has a contract for 2017 according to Wiggins, my guess would be with the parent team.

Parent team?

Sky...

I think he should (have) consider(ed) offers for 2016. His place in the Olympic team pursuit team is not guaranteed. Clancy and Wiggins are pretty certain, and then two of Burke, Tennant, Doull and Dibben are rotated between qualifiers and the final of the last few track competitions. In 2012, GB used Burke, Clancy, Thomas and Kennaugh for all three rounds at the Olympics, so two of the above will not be in the Rio team. Doull clearly has the talent for the road, if I were him I'd look at pro conti offers now.

Cheers, thought as much. I thought Matt was hinting that Doull had a possible contract with Sky, which would be a pretty big leap!

NFTO are having a big clearout/losing riders. Does anyone know if they're still thinking about moving up to Pro-Conti level?

No news about it for about six months, I would assume not (sadly).

Pfft. Probably would have heard something by now. I wonder how much the emergence of ONE has something to do with it? Nicking their best riders directly, or those of other teams, restricting the amount of domestic-based talent available.

Late news - ONE have completed their roster with the signing of Martin Mortensen from Cult Energy, making it 3 Danes, 3 Aussies, 3 Kiwis, 2 Poles and 9 Brits.

Yanto Barker

Tom Baylis – Development Programme

Marcin Bialoblocki

Karol Domagalski

John Ebsen

Matt Goss

Richard Handley

George Harper

Kristian House

Josh Hunt

Sebastian Lander

Hayden McCormick

Martin Mortensen

Chris Opie

James Oram

Glenn O’Shea

Dion Smith

Steele Von Hoff

Pete Williams

Sam Williams – Development Programme

What do you think for their first season at Pro-Conti level?

They should have a good leadout for Goss and Von Hoff. The Kiwis are pure talents, Oram could be a GC threat in races with time-trials, while Smith could compete in hillier sprints. Ebsen could pick up the occasional mountain win and hopefully Biabloblocki can continue to ride well in the ITT's.
I expect them to be very strong at all the British events.

Wonder if TDU will do additional wildcards, normally it only does the WT plus the Australia national squad effectively, but Drapac have started getting invites, you have to wonder if, with a complete mini-season down there and with the Aus/NZ contingent if ONE will try to do it, then the Cuddles Ocean Road Race and the Herald Sun Tour. I don't see the roster they have getting them much change wrt WT wildcards, so they may need to come out of the gate hot to try to prove their worth to get more invites later in the season. Białoblocki's success this year will help, certainly, but I expect their calendar to be basically Britain, punctuated with some other Europe Tour races including some northern French one day and short stage races (Dunkerque, Fourmies, the Breton races, Denain etc.) and some Scandinavian and Low Countries races, maybe the German .1 races (Köln, Frankfurt and Berlin) and the Danmark Rundt.

Can't see the TDU adding another wildcard invite next season and if they did I doubt it would go to a team like One, Dimention Data would be the most obvious unless Avanti or Budget Forklifts went Pro Conti.
One have put together a solid squad but they will struggle with any big race invites but if they start collecting wins then 2017 with a couple of bigger names will get them invites

With Bialoblocki and Domagalski, I can see One getting invited to Tour de Pologne.

But if ActiveJet goes pro-conti, they'll get this invitation and there will be one spot less for foreign pro conti team. But maybe with 2 Polish pro conti teams, there won't be Polish national team in this race.

They do have a bit of a history of picking up aging guys, for sure, but it's hard to see what benefit Leukemans would impart to them, because I don't think his experience is going to be that beneficial to most of the young riders Movistar are trying to bring through, Sütterlin is perhaps the only young rider on the team that would seem that way directed. Unless your contention is that the new heavyweight Betancur could consider a tilt at de Ronde. Which wouldn't actually be as far fetched as first thought.

I've always wondered why Sütterlin is at Movistar. What use do they have for him except as a workhorse on the flat (which seems a horrible use of the talent this guy used to show)?

Hopefully the TDU add on another invite or two, Dimesion Data would be a good start as they showed that they were willing to travel last year when they did the Evans road race. Inviting more Pro Conti teams would also beef up the fields at the Bay Crits and Herald Sun Tour as well as giving young riders a chance to shine in their own way.

The One squad is very decent for a PCT team. I can see them racking up a number of wins especially against PCT and CT teams. Victories against WT teams is more problematic but definitely achievable.

-Because of their Cult merger, Stolting have released Arne Egner, Lars Becker, James Early, Nako Georgiev, Aaron Grosser, Manuel Porzner, Ole Quast and Til Schuster. Jan Oelerich and Max Werda retire.
-Morgan Lamoisson released from Europcar.
-Lucas Gaday signs with Roth-Skoda.
-Craig Wallace, Richard Hepworth and Fraser Martin have signed for Raleigh. Andrew Hawdon renews.
-Team Wiggins sign/renew (hard to differentiate because of the incestuous relationship with British Cycling) Scott Davies, Chris Latham and Daniel Pearson. Davies is a top prospect.
-An Post sign Jasper Bovenhuis from SEG.
-Mads Wurtz joins Trefor from Coloquick.

Telefónica Germany bought out E-Plus in 2013 which increased their visibility in the German market massively. With Telefónica owning the O2 brand in the UK, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia, they were on the lookout for riders covering those interests, and as they already had Dowsett, the latter were targeted. Their choice was to look for a young talent to develop because they already had enough top level names to accommodate the targets of and the elite talents from those three countries were either tied down and/or too expensive or did not fit the team's direction.

They are okay but I wouldn't call them very decent, they will get some wins but I wouldn't be expecting to much from them next season

New British conti team Dynamo Cover Pro Cycling, which in my view is the "We Are Wales" team announced in the spring, have signed Tom Smith, Oliver Maxwell and Owen James.

Well it's probably better than slaving away for Rui Sousa :)

Hopefully he gets into mountainous 2.1 stage races like Route du Sud, Tour de l'Ain, Czech Tour...

A shame he doesn't take Frederico Figueiredo and David Rodriguez with him.

Aidis Kruopis from An Post to Verandas Willems.

That is a bit of a loss for An Post, Kruopis is a good solid sprinter but he might have requested the transfer and Verandas racing program does suit him
