Josh Edmondson appears to be with NFTO now. Way to squander a career.

I thought he'd join One Pro who have a much better calendar than NFTO but it seems they weren't interested. He did pick up some decent results last year at An Post, certainly enough to land a Pro Conti contract.

He certainly did, but the crucial problem is that he only seems to have actually raced for An Post for a period of less than three months. So he showed he's still a talent, but he also seems to have furthered the impression that he's flakey. I'm guessing it's the latter issue rather than his results that present the problem for him in getting a better ride.

NFTO is not a good place to land, really. They simply don't get enough quality races and very few indeed with a parcours that will suit him. Even if he wins a bunch of domestic non UCI ranked events that won't do him much good.

Having read up a bit more, I'll say three and a half things in his defence. Firstly, the reason why he missed the second half of the season was a broken hand. Secondly, NFTO seem to be based in and for Yorkshire, where Edmondson is from. Since he clearly doesn't like the full life of a pro cyclist (yet), staying close to home was a high priority for him. Thirdly, NFTO did relaunch Blythe and to a lesser extent von Hoff. Third and a halfly, he's only raced the Tour of Britain twice before, and only once as a pro, with Sky, so you could make the argument he hasn't fully used the main domestic shop window yet.

Phillip Hindes has signed for WIGGINS, british Theo Bos?

Whoa. Well, the British sprint team have been pretty poor since the 2012 Olympics, but had a promising result recently - but then I believe they weren't all that great in the 2012 cycle either. A large part of that is because Kenny and Hindes aren't good enough without Hoy. Maybe British Cycling or Hindes himself thinks there's a better chance of success on the road than being part of a middling sprint team and not good enough to make the individual sprint. Anyhow, I look forward to seeing how he does.

Is it said anywhere that he will start focussing on the road though? I mean Wiggins himself is riding some road races but his focus is on the track, I assume it will be the same with Hindis? Or is he really going for a road career (after Rio?)

You're right that it's utter speculation on my part, but frankly even if he just does the Tour de Yorkshire or something, I would love it because it's so rare for a track sprinter.

Listening to Brian Smith on Eurosport I wouldn't be surprised to see Konig move to Dimension Data for 2017. He was his manager at Net App-Endura and they could provide him with Grand Tour leadership opportunities.

Kai Reus signed a contract with Roompot. I hope he will have some decent results, he deserves it.

They transfered him mid season? Wow, good for him.
Right after verandas gave him a pro contract as well. Really happy for him. The guy can use some good luck doesn't he?
Hope he can actually develop into a quality rider now that he can ride the entire year at decent level.

Cheung King Lok, the current Asian ITT & RR champion is rumored to join Orica-GreenEdge. Greenedge tried to bring another Hong Kong cyclist Choi ki ho into the team two years ago, but he decided to go back to academy and retire. So finally a Hong Kong cyclist will join a WT team.

The rumor is from one of the sponsor for Hong Kong Team. Greenedge may announce in a few days.

It will pretty much be a done deal, CQ already lists him as an Orica rider. By the way in 2006 Lampre had Wu Kin San as a stagiar.

Cheung King Lok is younger (born in 1992) and has higher potentianl. Ronald Yeung has more experience and I'm not sure if he will stay in Marseille.
Considering Greenedge's management and development for young cyclist, I think Cheung can get some good results.

Besides, Hong Kong cycling is blooming. There will be more and more HK faces in the peloton.

Arguably David Millar is HK's most successful cyclist.

Officially announced on the OGE website.

ORICA-GreenEDGE is pleased to welcome 2016 Asian road race and time trial champion Cheung King-Lok to the team roster this year.

The Hong Kong rider will join the Australian outfit as a neo-pro alongside the likes of Jack Haig, Alexander Edmondson and Robert Power.

“First of all, I am really honoured to be a part of the ORICA-GreenEDGE professional cycling team,” King-Lok said. “The team is a very strong team in the WorldTour, I was so excited when I knew this news from my head coach.”

“This is my professional debut. It's a new step, a big chance for me to breakthrough in areas such as strength, skill sets, tactics, all about cycling and even something about our life.”

Pending his transition into the team’s programme King-Lok could start racing as soon as the Vuelta Ciclista a La Rioja in early April.

Young Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz has been signed by Lizarte, the development team of Movistar. He has a great potential in the climbing segment. Last season he won the U-23 Tour of Colombia, also winning 2 stages.

The deal seems fishy, going from a team (Strongman) to another team (Lizarte), only to go back to your original team after a few months (Strongman, again), like a loan deal in football, isn't something you see on the daily. I'd say there is another deal in place with Movistar, and they want him to ride a few races in Europe first.
