Norwegian national media has reported UAE-move for Kristoff as signed, which he "couldn't comment on" in a sheepish way. As confirmed as possible prior to August 1st.

What'll be interessting in which domestiques they'll sign for him - threadbare in that department now.

I thought Kristoff was going to Astana? If he's switched to UAE along with Aru then ... what are Astana doing??

I heard Astana was trying on Landa. He might choose them over movistar if Quintana does not go to Sky.

Fuglsang is already old, Astana needs a new captain for the future, provided Aru is gone. Actually I think Vino is not happy with Aru's returning health issues.

Fuglsang har 3-4 more years as a top contender (unless he develops into a danish Valverde :p )

Too soon to talk about his age in this context.... but for his next contract, it will be an issue, depending on what he wins the next 2 years ;)

They might have a guy who can win the tour in 2 or 3 years.

Isn't their budget down for the second consecutive year due to the econimical situation in Kazachstan?
To be honest I would've expected them to hold Aru at all costs and let Marinelli find new Italian sponsorship for 2019 because of this. Without the Italian core though they might just dissappear.

Aru seems a done deal for UAE as per Corriere della Sera. He will take with him only staff and Tiralongo as a "mentor". His agent wanted around 3 mil/year.

I just dont get why he would leave Astana when he is a undisputed leader so to speak, Italian core, DS, riders. Might be money related.

Anyway even without Aru they still got a solid team for GC with Lopez and Fuglsang, classics with Valgren, Moser and Lutsenko. No standout sprinter though other then Minali who will develop...

Astana wont dissapear even without the Italian core, just so thats said

Don't know if it was posted here before, but Keukeleire to Lotto-Soudal.

Keukeliere is an interesting case. Highly regarded within the Belgium Cycling community and always likely to be tempted bu offers from Belgium teams. My understanding he is highly rated by Lotto Soudal, but not rated by Etix.

Astana and Sky are in Landa's blacklist. He must run out of options before returning there. I don't see the problem with Landa and Quintana in the same team. Landa is not obsessed with the Tour. He would be perfectly happy going for the Giro while Quintana goes for the Tour. And if Movistar sends them together to the Tour (or the Vuelta), just compare what Valverde gave up to help Quintana in recent Tours with what Landa gave up to help Aru in the 2015 Giro and to Froome in this year's Tour.
