Just wonder that if BMC shut down their devo team due to riders they develop being poached (mainly Sivakov), then how do Orica-Scott feel about losing two of their three pro-ready guys to Sunweb?

I do agree though that Sunweb is a great place to develop, but competition could be hard for leadership given Dumoulin, Kelderman and Oomen, then, depending on how they develop, Hoftstede and Chris Hamilton are all there and on reasonably long-term deals. Is that really better than at OS behind Chaves, Yates bros and possibly Haig and Lucas Hamilton if he goes there?

5 in, 5 out for Sky.

IN: Castroviejo De La Cruz Bernal Sivakov Halvorsen

OUT: Landa Boswell Kennaugh Viviani Nieve

Contracts still to be renewed/announced: Kiryienka Intxausti Lopez Van Poppel Deignan Golas Puccio Moscon Wisniowski Henao

Don't expect any more ins or outs unless Cannondale collapses.

Orica was never going to take on the three boys - You must also consider that some riders have no interest in riding for local teams - I suggest the Australian Institute of Sport will be more disappointed than Orica.

Why wouldn't they want to take them on? I don't understand that.

It's style of riders - Orica has enough climber/GC guys, hence they would never take all three of Hamilton, Storer and Hamilton.

Jai Hindley and Michael Storer both go to Team Sunweb.
Nice signings. Any rumors about Lucas Hamilton?

My understanding it will be Orica Scott - Hamilton, Storer and Hindley should all be WT level riders - I suspect Storer will be the best GC rider of the three.

Storer should've done another year in the u23 ranks.

I agree 100% with your post - But at the same time when you have the chance to join the Poro-Ranks.

Sky would be a great move for VM. He'd have the strongest support available in the peloton outside of QS, and he'd instantly be the leader

Meanwhile, Sky don't really have an elite leader for the cobbles, especially with Rowe missing them next year. Vanmarcke would be a great bet while Moscon continues to develop

They've got Stannard who's quite comparable to Vanmarcke as a rider. Only that Stannard is more likely to once win Flanders or P-R in atrocious weather conditions, while Vanmarcke is more likely to repeatedly score top 5 placements in both races.

They might prefer to give Moscon the chance to step up in the absence of Rowe rather than sign Sep as well. At least it wouldn't surprise me.

Sondre Holst Enger and August Jensen (don't know why, but I always confuse him with Amund Jansen, guess it's the name) sign with Israel Cycling Academy.

I like Enger, I think he could have a big few future but this year he's had a lot of DNFs.

High potential, but he's hard to manage and not necessarily always sticking to diet- or training plans, hence several spells with illness the last few season. The French ethos and mentality hasn't been a good fit for him, like Eiking.

Hopefully a slightly more relaxed environment means he finds the confidence which seems to be all important
